Exceeded expectations. This is the future of home brewers! I wouldn't be surprised to see Starbucks start making k-cups for the Keurig!

The Platinum brewer is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Sporadic operation

I have had this model for over a year now. Recently I needed to de-scale the machine which I did. Afterwards the screen flashes "not ready" and will not reset. I tried to contact the techs via phone but after a 20 min wait was told they would call me back at their leasure. Not happy with that

THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET!!!

I have had my machine for a little over a month and it shut down on me once. I have found that not filling the resevoir to the top seems to have fixed the problem. I use about one half cup less of water in the resevoir, or about two inches below the top. So far, so good. I leave my machine on all of the time, the way the manual suggests. We have had one power outage and that didn't seem to affect it in any adverse way. Other than that I love my coffee maker. I have purchased six Keurig coffee makers in total. I have given them as gifts and bought one for my grandkids school fundraising auction. Needless to say it was a huge hit. I love the convenience of it, one cup-no waste, can have a variety of coffees and teas anytime I want. This is the best thing since sliced bread!!

Love my Keurig ~ but

I love my Keurig very much ♥ I don't like the water reservoir having a number 6 on the bottom. I believe it contains toxins in the plastic

We bought this a few weeks ago and so far I do not regret it all. The ease of use and the varity of coffee and tea available make it a big hit in our house.

My only complaint is that you can't control the strength of the coffee. A smaller cup is stronger and a larger mug is weaker so you have to brew two smaller cups to get the desired strength in a larger mug, expecially for the travel mug to go to work with. We use the bold and extra bold varities. We just like that stronger flavor.

Cons: Higher Cost for Coffee, Larger cupWeaker coffee, No built-in water filter

Great machine when it works

I don't usually write reviews but felt I needed to this time. Got this machine for Christmas 2008. Within a month of getting it, it started to stop on "brewing", make a humming sound, and then no coffee. Called customer service and they walked me through the descaling process (even though I never got a descale message- have not gotten one to this day). After several "on" and "off" attempts it started working again but sometimes jumping to the travel cup size so my coffee would over flow. The rep suggested I get a filter which I did immediately. Machine had worked on and off for a year and then this past January 2010, started with the "brewing" problems again. Finally one day I went to use it and the power had shut completely off and unable to turn on again. I called Keurig and was told that there was a problem with the machines with my serial number and that they would ship another one out to me. Wish I had known sooner since they had my registration information. Bottom line, great machine, great coffee...when it works. Hopefully Keurig has fixed the problem as I don't want to have to have another one sent to me. They have great customer service reps, let's hope they listen to the feedback and fix the problem!

LOVE IT BUT MODEL B70 SHUTS DOWN

RETURNED ONCE DUE TO POWER SHUTTING DOWN AFTER USED IT FOR ONE WEEK. MY FRIEND HAS THE SAME PROBLEM,ALSO RETURNED IT. WE HAVE TO SEE IF SAME PROBLEM OCCURS. I READ OTHER REVIEWS AND FOUND OUT THAT PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH SAME MODEL B70 SHUTTING DOWN ITSELF. I AM INTERESTED WITH IHE MODEL BREVILLE BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN IT AVAILABLE IN THE STORES, ALSO WONDERING IF THIS MODEL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM
