I have had my machine going on 3 years now and I use it every day at least 3 or 4 times a day including my wife's use. I liked it so much I got one for the office as well. I can't imagine my coffee life with out it.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Fast, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

I have to say I love this machine and have a hard time drinking coffee any other way. But, I know there is always a but it is not very durable. This is my third in three years. The Keurig customer service is great. We worked through all the troubleshooting without success so I was sent another replacement brewer. I hope they fix this problem so I can use the same brewer for more than 10 months.
Pros: Variety of coffee, Multiple Settings, Customer Service, Whole family use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile

Keeping my fingers crossed

Hopefully my second Platinum brewer within a week will work better than the first. The first one had the word "Prime" come up a few times....took it back and exchanged it for this one. This new one was brewing quite slowly this morning. Took it apart and cleaned it, ran a few water only cycles when some interesting things (coffee grounds, hopefully) came out! It seems to be running fine now. I am excited about having this brewer and the coffee is quick and delicious! Can't wait to try the different flavored varieties, but will be disappointed if I keep having trouble with it. The folks I know that have them love them..that's why I took the $200+ plunge....
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Problems but Keurig stands behind them

I love this machine and coffee just isn't the same in a regular brewer. I have had problems with every brewer eventually but Keurig has replaced every one. I have had 3 and the third just stopped working. I called Keurig this morning and they are mailing a replacement immediately. Make sure to register you machine and do the required cleaning occasionally. Keurig stands behind their product and it's worth any hastle you may have with the appliance. Keurig is so helpful and easy to deal with.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Fast, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Fragile

Gone through 2 already. I'm done

I've had this since December of 2010. The first one was replaced by the company in May, so 5 months. The second one died today. I clean them and take care of them like the manual states. I use filtered water. I don't know what else to do. So, I'm done. Oh well. Just like others have said, I was hoping the problems weren't going to happen to me.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Fragile, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought the Platinum series in 2010 from [@]. Stopped working after a year. Said Brewing, but no water came out to brew. Tried everything in the book to get it to brew again. Nothing worked. Poorly engineered. Keurig Customer service not any better. Stuck with boxes of K-Cups that I can't use now. Any Keurig Company management looking at these reviews/ product defect metrics?? I see a lot of negative reviews. Would not ever buy again.
Pros: Fast
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Complicated, Fragile, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Won't last much longer than the warranty

The product faithfully only works for a year and a half or less - pump failure with both units I have had. Customer Service was rude and unhelpful - they basically told me that since I did not buy special water for the unit that I had not taken good care of it and there was nothing that they could do to repair or replace it. The brewer is evidentally very fragile if it needs special water - I have no other appliances that I have to buy bottle or distilled water for. I will not be a Keurig customer again.
Pros: Works Great For A While
Cons: Needs Special Water, Pricey / Poor Value, Customer Service Is Poor, Might Get A Year Of Use, Customer Service Is Rude
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My 1st brewer died after a little over a year, and Keurig sent me a replacement even though my warranty had just expired not too long before that. The replacement arrived 3 days later during the holiday season, and I couldn't be happier. My 1st brewer had only 4 cup sizes and no water temp. control along with the stock water reservoir that came with it a couple years ago(60 oz.). The replacement brewer had the new 72 oz. water reservoir, 5 cup sizes and water temp control(the newest model of the platinum brewer)(platinum plus also includes a rinse, and a hot water button, and a sampler pack of k-cups), not included with my brewer but I have a ton of k-cups at home anyway :) (any Keurig owner does in case we have people coming over). If you're a 1st time buyer, don't let the naysayers out there stop you from treating yourself to any brewer from Keurig!! They stand by their products, and will even report any issues you might be having with any k-cups you purchased, to their respective manufacturers(too weak, too strong, grounds in the coffee, etc.). Their customer support team is very helpful and should be commended for their excellent service. Good customer service is hard to come by these days, but they get it right the first time, and will do anything in their power to make sure their customers are happy, I know I am :)
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Durable, Fast, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN
