I'm on my second one (soon to be third) but I purchased one about 5 years ago and it worked perfect, still nothing wrong with it just didnt know how long until it stopped so I purchased another one in November of 2013, using it just like my last one but after only 3 months of use it goes to "PRIME" after you prime it works fine for a few brews then goes back to prime, called customer service the first rep didnt really care too much about my problem and hurried me off the phone. I called back and spoke to someone else who listened and then realized it needed to be replace, advised me I would have my replacement within 3-7 business days. Great warranty and Great Customer Service, well at least the it was the 2nd time I called.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Fast, Multiple Settings
Really nice machine. Much quieter than my old one, makes great coffee and has a larger reservoir that can be refilled without removing it - a really nice feature! Programming and setup couldn't have been easier if someone did it for me. AND - I can fit my travel mug under the spout! Not a deal breaker but I wish the display would light up when the machine was off so you could read the time on it easily. And while the machine is solid everywhere else it seems a bit cheap when the cup tray flexes in the middle every time you push the lever down when after you insert the K-Cup - even when you press it gently. A recommended brewer, nontheless!
Pros: Quiet, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
It has a filter system and the filter is supposed to last 3 months, but I find I'm having to remove the filter almost every other day to "prime" or clean it and it's been less than 1 month. Because we use only bottled water it doesn't seem like this would be required and it is getting annoying.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
We have brewed three to four cups every day for the last 17 months with no problems. I replace the filter every two months, as recommended. We enjoy having a fresh cup of coffee every time and the ability to brew a single cup "on demand." I'm going to buy another Platinum to have on hand when this one gives up.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Fast, Easy to use, Durable, Multiple Settings
I've been through 2 keurigs in the past few years. My first stopped working 10 months after purchasing. They were very friendly and sent me a comparable replacement immediately. The replacement worked fine (but loud) for a little over a year and stopped working altogether two days ago. I called and spoke with customer service that told me it was just out of warranty and the best they could offer was a replacement for $117.00. Frustrated, I called and spoke with two other representatives tonight and finally was offered a free replacement. I will continue to be a customer as long as the product is working properly. The convenience itself is what I look for in a brewer, but for the price it should last longer than a year.
I'm on my second Platinum model. First must have just been defective from the start. Second has lasted about 2 Years but since I only make 2 cups of coffee per week in it, I expected a longer life. Customer service could care less. I cannot recommend this machine due to my disappointment
