Need New One Now (Not because it broke)

X-Girlfriend left with her Keurig, Not sad about her leaving. But sure am going to miss that machine. My new one should be here in a few days. I love it because I can grab one quick cup of coffee before work (with no clean up from the day before) and when friends and family come over they can choose from a wide varitie of coffee, tea or hot chocolate
Pros: Fast, Stylish, Durable, Easy to use
Cons: Complicated

Made it through Afghanistan

My office got together and purchased this brewing system while we were deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. We found it to be durable in the worst of conditions and didn't have any problems the entire year that we were there (dust and heat mostly). Our system supported about 15 regular coffee drinkers plus more when we hosted meetings. The only problem we encountered was if the machine was on all day it would stop brewing. This was fixed by shutting down for 10 mins and then resuming. Loved the brewing system and the coffee that it made. I plan on buying one now that I am home.
Pros: Fast, Multiple Settings, Durable, Easy to use

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Can't let go of my Keurig just yet

I purchased my Keurig over 31/2 years ago and purchased one for my mom 2 years ago for Christmas. I never had any issues with it until now. It will only give me half a cup on start up. I think it is trying to tell me something but i am not ready just yet to give up on it. I will for sure get myself another one. As for my mom's it is still brewing a good cup of coffee.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Durable, Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Great Customer Service

The main reason I gave this a five star instead of a one or two is their great customer service and tech. help. I'm on my second Platinum brewer they have only lasted four or five months when I start having problems with them, the last one started brewing half cups anyway I called service and we go through some steps to determine it's a bad brewer and they send me another one you just have to send back a piece they ask you to and that's it. Yes I think they may have a manufacturing defect in this platinum series but as long as they stand behind it until hopefully they get it fixed I will keep using it because I like the different cup sizes on this one. I have one Keurig that has been going over five years I passed on when I got this one. It also makes great ice tea if you have not tried it yet, I just add an extra tsp. organic sugar to mine just a hint to you folks before I pour it over ice. Anyway make sure you register you brewer when you get it and if it starts having trouble you will be covered and they ship out fast. Hope this helps

NEED TO IMPROVE DURABILITY

I am on my 4th platinum brewer in about 5 years. I love this brewer when it works, in fact have recommemnded it to several people in the past. While Keurig has great customer service, they really need to solve the issues with the brewers malfunctioning in very short periods of time. A brewer that costs this amount of money should not stop working in a few months time. I appreciate that they are replacing the brewer, but as a morning coffee drinker it is very disappointing to get up in the morning to find your brewer not working, esp. when it was fine the night before. [...]Since Keurig obviously knows, or should, that they have an issue, [...]I will accept this next replacement, but will no longer recommend this brewer to friends and will switch to a different brand if this next one malfunctions as quick as the last three. This will be my last Keurig!

Cons: Doesn't last, HARD TO CLEAN

Loved my Kuerig, but as other reviewers stated it isn't very durable. It lasted me almost 6 months to the day before it started short cupping. Did all the trouble shooting, and then water started returning to the external chamber, and taking 10 minutes to start up to brew a cup.I primed it and used filtered water/ They are sending me a new one, but it would seem with this being a common complaint Kuerig would do something about this. Still love it, and can't wait to get the replacement.

Do NOT BUY

Purchased online around Dec 1 2010. Went to work over seas from Jan 10, 2011 to June 18 2011. I followed all of the recommended storage requirements and I also had one on these in an older model for years and always traveled for work. I decided to trade in the noisey model for a quite one. I Came back from overseas filled with water and turned on and only humming happened and after about 1 minute would cut off. Lost patience with the service person after looking for a paper clip in all the drawers in my house. They wanted to reschedule after I went and purchased a paper clip. They would not tell me what to do with the paper clip after I bought one and it would require step by step instructions over the phone. I will not buy another Keurig pot. All of my Family and friends bought one because of my old one. I wish I had my old nosiy one back and had never purchased the upgraded Model B70.
Cons: Cannot Store It, Complicated, Pricey / Poor Value
