I absolutely love my Keurig. But I have small children and the brewing sound can be a little loud. Even so, I use it anyway.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish

Works well, for a while

This is the second machine I have owned. I previously had the Elite. After about a year the elite began not brewing when the brew button was pressed, brewing too little or too much for the cup size selected, etc. So we cashed in point from the coffee club to get a discount on this brewer. Within a few months, this brewer has started doing the same things. It appears that after a while they begin having elctrical problems. We have been de-scaling properly and doing all the right things but we keep struggling with the machine. When you get the correct cup size and it brews the first time you press the button, it is great. But when it is giving us a hard time..not so great. Works great in the beginning but becomes hit or miss after a while.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish
Cons: Electrical problems

The Coffemaker Of The Future Here Now!

My wife and I would end up making 6 or 8 cups of coffee with our old coffemaker and drinking 2 or 3. The rest got thrown out. Then you had to clean up. Our Keurig Platinum brewer is the best! No more waste, no more cleanup, great coffee! It turns itself on at the programed time in the morning and is ready to go. It even turns itself off after we are done. It makes a great cup of coffee fast. The only problem is that it's to easy. Now my wife drinks coffee all the time and she won't go to sleep. Now there's a problem! I still love the coffemaker though. To bad Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts don't make K Cups!
Pros: Timer Programibility, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish
Cons: It's to easy

Quiet, great coffee, some problems

Basic model a lot noisier but always worked. The platinum sometimes won't pump the water into the chamber or sometimes won't brew. Then it has to be re-set and will brew the largest size cup to get rid of all the water in the chamber. Annoying. Keurig replaced our first platinum because it had frequent problems. This one isn't so bad but still does it.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Doesn't always work

I upgraded from the Special Edition to the Platinum. This unit is much quieter and is more feature rich than any of the others. Unfortunately it stopped working after 10 days, so I just exchanged it at the store and I hope I was just unfortunate to have picked up a dud the first time around...
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Fragile

Love It, But

I bought my first one in March of 2007. It lasted two years. At that point, the de-scale alert started to come on every few days and the unit wouldn't always function. I always used filtered water or distilled. So tap water didn't cause it to fail. These brewers appear to use valves and pumps. They aren't drip machines. So there are moving parts that can wear out. I purchased a new one in September of 2009 ant it's now 12/2/09. I've already had to call Keurig because it won't reliably make coffee. This unit has 5 cup settings. I use the middle, 8 oz, setting. Frequently it does nothing when I try to make coffee, and then the display switches itself to the largest size. Customer support tells me it's a clog. If true, my new unit clogs almost daily. Funny, the old one didn't. And if it's clogged, why will it brew using the same cup and after doing nothing except opening and closing the unit again? Also if I turn the power off and back on, it works (and without cleaning). So I'm not convinced that it's a clog. That may be common, but it's not my issue. I've had days where I waste two or more K-Cups because the pumps, valves, whatever pump too much water or not enough. I really love the brewing concept and the coffee is great, much better than the brewers that use "pods". You can make tea, coffee, and decaf for family and friends without having multiple brewers. I honestly think this particular unit has issues. If the problems continue and I can't convince Keurig to replace it, I may or may not buy another unit. If you get one, and I would recommend it, don't be surprised if you need to replace it down the road.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Reliability

The Platinum brewer replaced my Senseo coffee maker. I am not disappointed either. I brought it in to work for a couple of weeks and got 2 coworkers to purchase the Platinum and we went in together to get the elite to stay at the office.
Pros: Stylish, Durable, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

We love this machine. We have four coffe drinkers in the house all with very different tastes. This accommodates everyone. This is my second machine. The first I returned due to it would occasionally make a half cup and the next would overflow. I have well water and did not use filtered water, I don't know if that was the reason or not but, my new one we only use filtered water and it has worked great. I love that you can make iced tea one glass at a time, instead of a whole pitcher that gets wasted.
Pros: Stylish, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
