One Day I'm Drinking...the Next Day I'm

When I first received my Keurig...it was love at first sight. No more instant coffee for me! Pop in a flavored K-cup and I was off and running! That is until one day when my most favorite coffee maker died. The unit just stopped brewing less than seven months after it was purchased. Not to fear...the gang at Keurig came to the rescue and shipped me a brand new unit [minus any little bonuses of extra K-cups, which would have been a nice touch nonetheless]...so, as I wait for my new coffee maker to arrive...I'm simply suffer thru the next few mornings with my 'ol sidekick Mr. Instant coffee...
Pros: Perfect sizes, Excellent Coffee, Taste just right, Excellent Replacement
Cons: Stopped Brewing-no Reason
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great when it works

I don't usually write reviews but, after reading most of reviews of this coffeemaker, I felt I had to write about my experience also. I, like many who have written before me, will be going on my third coffeemaker in less than two years. The machine brews a great cup of coffee "when it works." However, as I discovered yesterday, my brewer (the second one) stopped brewing. You press the brew button and nothing happens. The "brewing" notation stays on for minutes, then goes off but in order to clear the display you have to pull the plug and reset it. Even then, when you try it again, nothing comes out. Yes, customer service is excellent. They replace your brewer after the paper clip ordeal, and descale ordeal etc. But I could have told the rep on the the phone that descaling wasn't going to help. But she wanted me to do it so I did. That was yesterday. Today, I had to call back and tell her it's still not pumping water.I agree with all the posts here. Keurig needs to get it right. There is obviously a serious problem with their high end coffeemakers. We are the people who take the time and effort to call. What about all those people who just throw the machine away? Anyway, I wonder if the Breville or Cuisinart models have the same problem. It would be interesting to hear from someone who purchased one of these. Breville is a quality company and their products are very pricey. I can't believe they would sell something with so many problems. I'd definitely spend the [$] if I knew I would have years of great, reliable service from the product.

Cons: Stops working suddenly

We have had Keurig brewers for many a model and the Plauinum is the most current. The unit like the others when it works it works well, we like the multi-cup sizes and the ease of use but; They just dont last. We have had 4 brewers in the last 2 years. The longest one lasted was 9 months. If it werent for the great replacement warranty (1 yr) I dont know if I would buy one on its own. But when they worked they(all)worked well.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Not durable

Not worth it!!!

[...] The replacement lasted for about 1-1/2 years, but broke down yesterday. The customer rep said they couldn't help me because the replacement was no longer under warranty. I had just ordered four boxes of K-Kups and am now debating what to do. To buy another expensive replacement doesn't seem to be a desirable option. I cannot recommend this product. The coffee is great when the machine works, but it is not reliable.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Great when it's working, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Not dependable, Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unit s--ks, 3rd replacement in a year. Keurig will not allow me to upgrade to a real coffee maker sold by Keurig, stuck with this [*]. Do not buy this unit!!!!!!

Third time's a charm? NOT!

After having this unit replaced twice due to what the company called design issues, the third machine made its last cup of coffee within a year of receiving it. Meanwhile, the cheaper machine I received as a gift five years ago continues to make 3-5 cups of coffee per day at my office with no issues whatsoever. I am completely disgusted with the poor quality and complete lack of dependability of this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After 7 months had to replace. Store indicated common problem. New one extra water in Kcup holder and coffee grounds consistently in holder. Running water cycles 2 times before brewing. Trying ONE more. I have Platnium machine. Conveneince of the sizes, quick brewing and iced options. Hate to resort back to regular coffee maker but just may : ( Kcups expensive. Still on the fence about recommending this product.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Extra Water in KCup area, Leftover Coffee Grounds, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value, Leaks, 7 months for life span
