Lasted 3 weeks before it died!

I received this $179 coffee maker for Christmas. It lasted 3 weeks before it started to blink "PRIME" and refused to work. I did all of the things that the book told you to do to no avail. Called Keurig. After doing all of the things again while on the phone with the impolite customer rep, it still would not work. I was told a replacement would be shipped in 3-5 days and an email would be sent to verify the date of shipment. I called back 1.5 weeks later after no coffee maker or email and was told that they were out of stock. Called again 3 weeks later and I was told that they were out of stock and they didn't know when they would be in. Seriously!!?? The company is out of stock?! I was told this time that I could have another color. That was not offered the first or second time I called. Very disappointed in the quality of the coffee maker for the price and also with the company in general. The customer service reps are very cold and seem unhappy to help. Just an odd experience from the very beginning. Still no coffee maker, apology email or projected delivery date of replacement. WOW. I am absolutely appalled at all of this for almost $200!
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings

i hate the word descale

Use it everyday. Have had it over a year now all problems are happening, always even after cleaning it comes up and says descale, does not fill the correct size. Diappointed with this prod uct.
Pros: Multiple Settings
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN

Prime Issue

I read the "prime issues" comments and felt I had to write. I've had several Keurig brewers in the past years and I'm hooked. A few years ago, my Keurig was replaced with a new one (because I didn't clean mine properly). The new one had a "prime issue". I had been without my brewer for a while and did not want to send this one back and be without again. What I found was that, for some reason, the area where the water reservoir sits did not seal properly. I would take the reservoir out, then replace it and it would work. I did this often for a week or so (very irritating) and then one day it started working. I had it for years without any problem. I hope this helps someone.

I make coffee and hot chocolate in it. Clean it regularly with vinegar even if it doesn't need it. I use distilled drinking water. After I descaled it 2 weeks later it would not work. Told me it needed descaling. Tried doing it for 2 days going on 3. went through 2 gallons of vinegar so far. Still doesn't work. Guess I'll buy another one. Makes good coffee.

Cons: Only Lasts 2 Years, Pricey / Poor Value

Not Happy with this so far!

I have had this product for less than 2 months. It worked fine for about 3 weeks. Then I started a getting the word Prime on the digital display. When that comes up, the brewer will not work. The manual and online instructions tell you to empty the water reservoir, clean the needle in the K cup holder and descale it. Each time I followed the directions, it would be fine for a week and than the Prime sign would appear again. After happening three weeks in a row, I contacted Keurig and they are sending out another brewer. So for me the jury is still out on this brewer. My friends who have Keurigs have no issues. But in researching this problem, I noticed complaints dating back 8 years ago regarding the Prime issue. Why haven't they addressed it in all this time? Per Keurig, it is normal for this to appear from time to time and could mean the filter is clogged with sediment but it should not be a common occurrence. Also, I have used nothing but filtered water in it. I am awaiting a new brewer to see if the problems continues. But the fact that is has occurred so soon after purchase makes me very leery of recommending this brewer to someone else. The single brew concept is great and I was initially very excited about this brewer. However, if you have too many problems with it, it is not worth it. These machines and K-Cups are NOT cheap. I expect the quality to be commiserate with the price. Otherwise you could just buy a regular inexpensive coffee maker and call it a day.
Pros: Fast, Good when it works
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

COULDN'T BE BETTER

THIS IS OUR SECOND PLATINUM KEURIG AND HOPE THEY STILL MAKE THIS MODEL WHEN WE GET ANOTHER ONE. VERY EASY TO USE, QUIET COMPARED TO THE FIRST MODELS WE HAD YEARS AGO AND JUST KEEPS ON GOING. WE SERVED COFFEE EVERYDAY TO OUR CLIENTS WHO CAME TO THE OFFICE AND NOW USE IT FOR GUESTS AND NEIGHBORS IN OUR HOME. I'M TRYING HARD TO THINK OF A NEGATIVE AND MAY HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TWO EXCELLENT MACHINES. OH YES! THE ONLY REASON WE'VE HAD TWO OF THE SAME MODEL; IT WAS TAKEN BY ONE OF OUR CHILDREN ON A VISIT:-)

The perfect quick fix

I use my Keurig in two different ways. Since I am the only drinker in the house, I make a half pot of coffee for when I wake up. When I want one or two more cups of coffee, the Keurig is quick and easy to accommodate me. In the evening I enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, or cappuccino. The Keurig is perfect for that as well.

Easy to use and brews a excellent cup of coffee fast. It is a bit noisy when brewing. The Pros out weigh the Cons.
