Keurig Platinum/Parts-Poor Quality

It is 2 1/2 yrs old and the top inside plastic cracked. No more brewing coffee with this one. All it's good for now is hot water. I have an older special edition and it's still working. Very disappointed with the platinum for the price of it. The parts are of poor quality and what's with the on/off switch being in the back! Should be on top like the other models.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Spendier per cup than a normal coffee maker, but less waste...except for the plastic. A little unsettled about throwing the k-cups away..lots of plastic in a year for one person. But it works really well. Exactly as I hoped. ONE STRONG RECOMMENDATION: Run not one or two cups through, but at least a full reservoir full of water...perhaps two. There is a strong plastic flavor in coffee until you WASH the reservoir with soap AND run at least one or two FULL reservoirs of water through the brewer. Much better after that.
Pros: Efficient, Easy to use, Fast, Stylish, Cool, Multiple Settings

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Was a gift 4 months ago now will not brew coffee. Platinum model now just sits on our counter. Cannot seem to get Keurig to contact me or stand by their product. Stick with a regular brewer, coffee less expensive and tastes better.
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Heavy, Taste like instant coffee, Platinum mod quit 4 mos, Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile

Perfect Coffee Maker

I would like to adjust the fluid OZ even though it has 5 sizes available. It would be nice to have a 20oz, Although you would need a k-cup that could handle that much water to still have a good coffee.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Multiple Settings

I still like my Keurig

I still like my Keurig even though this is the fifth one in 3 years. The company has replaced every one with no cost to me which is great. This last one lasted 13 months and the company is still sending me a new one.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Fast
Cons: Not durable

I like it, but I just hate all the non recyclable cups. After use I open and put the used coffee on my garden but hate all those little cups in the garbage. I like it for when I have guests and they can make what they want. Please try to figure out a way that the whole cup can be recycled. We don't need anything more in our garbage dumps.

I had to write in to say that altho we've had a lot of problems with our Keurig Platinum Brewer and it didn't last nearly long enough for the money it cost, this review is not about that. I've already written a review about those issues. This review and the 5 star rating is about the excellent service I just received from a Keurig Customer Rep named JOSH. My husband called in a couple of weeks ago to complain about the brewer and was offered a replacement at a discounted price. He didn't purchase it at the time because he was angry and disappointed in the product but was told he had 30 days to decide and they would keep all our information on file until then.I know he really loved this machine because when it worked, it was great. So, I decided to take Keurig up on the offer and surprise him with a new one for Christmas. Yesterday, I called Keurig Customer Service to do just that and a woman rep, didn't catch her name, not particualarly friendly or understanding, insisted I needed the serial number on the old non functioning brewer before she could sell me a new one. I explained to her I was in a wheelchair right now and couldn't access the brewer to get that information. My husband had already given all this info when he called. But, she insisted so I had to hang up without ordering the new brewer. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I had to trouble a neighbor this morning to come over after hubby left for work to get the serial number. I called Keurig again and this time JOSH took my call. He never asked me for that information and when I told him my exerience the day before he said the woman I spoke with should not have needed that info and apologized profusely for her causing me any unnecessary problems or aggravation. Anyway, hats off to JOSH for solving my problem and handling the situation in a polite and professional manner. Too bad all Keurig Customer Service Reps are not as knowledgeable and polite.
