Love this Coffee Maker!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, he loves that he can have a different cup of coffee everyday at a lot less than buying it at a coffee shop. Even I find myself using this often, I <3 iced coffee wonderful added feature. The hot cocoa is great on cold nights too :)

I absolutely love this brewer. I bought one for myself, then purchased one for my friend for Christmas who loved mine so much. Then convinced another friend to purchase one and then convinced my son-in-law to purchase one for my daughter. It makes the best coffee, chocolate, cider, just everything perfect everytime. Maybe I should start selling Keurig brewers!!!!!!

After a friend's recommendation, I decided to purchase the Keurig Platinum Brewing System. I've had it for about 2 months now. I absolutely love it. It looks great and makes a perfect cup of coffee or tea every time. I like the programmable features and the ability to choose 5 different cup sizes. It is so easy to use that my 9 year old loves to make herself a cup of hot cocoa. The only bad thing about owning this is that I can't bring myself to drink hospital coffee anymore. I'm considering purchasing the mini brewer to keep in my locker at work so I can pull it out and make coffee while I'm working those 12-hour nights.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Perfect coffee, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings

Starbucks, you have competition

I purchased the Keurig Platinum after owning several conventional coffee makers. I was never happy with the taste of the coffee they brewed. I wanted a coffee maker that could give me a cup of coffee that would at least come close to that of Starbucks coffee. Well I found it. The Keurig makes me a cup of coffee that tastes the way I want it. I have given up my $2.00 cup of coffee at Starbucks habit for this. It's fun and easy to use. My 78year old Mother has one and loves her's too. She's the one that convinced me to buy mine. I dont really have anything negitive to say about it.

Miss my beans

I have had this unit for several months now. I just got up this morning and, once again, the unit was not on during the time it was set to come on. Sometimes it is. Sometimes (most) it isn't. I can't figure out how to make it come on consistently no matter what I do. Right at the beginning of my ownership I found that my large coffee cup would never be filled with great coffee again. Instead I worked my way down to the middle cup setting before my coffee tasted as though it wasn't watered down. Using the pricey insert that I fill with my own coffee doesn't help either. That was relegated to the cupboard after two messy tries. I now make more tea in my life and love it. Keurig should stop selling coffee and just sell tea. It is now my afternoon drink of choice. I think the single cup system is a great idea. I just think that they have a long way to go. I have not given away my bean grinder or my old coffee pot. If my Keurig unit ever breaks (or maybe not) then I will go back to my old time consuming but delicious methods until they work all the bugs out of this system.
Pros: Fast, Stylish
Cons: Complicated, Limited Cup Sizes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I received this for christmas this past year and was thrilled. And it worked great, up until a couple moths ago...It started sporadically giving us random cup sizes, then at some points wouldnt brew at all with out a gental bang on the top. I called once, they told me to descale and do the magic paperclip trick. (we use the filter you can buy from them, plus filtered water). I did this and with in a week it did it again. So I called back a few weeks later and they told me they would replace it. Great, but I am peeved that they are making me eat the cost of the wasted K-cups and shipping for mailing proof of ownership of busted machine. Other then that I love it, lol.

I absolutely love this unit.... Unfortunately I'm on my third unit. I only use filtered water, I descale the unit every few months, I clean the pin openings top and bottom after every 8 cups, I never use ground coffee other than the K-cups and the brewer always breaks before the first year is up. I wish it was more durable and lasted longer because it is one of my favorite appliances in the kitchen. I do have to say that the customer service at Keurig is A+++. They are so accommodating and nice that I can't be mad at the fact that their brewers do not last. I've read about people having their units for 2 years and I'm jealous. I wish Keurig would take this to heart and make a brewer that has integrity and lasts longer. They are just too delicate for the high cost to buy them. I would think that Keurig loses a lot of money replacing the ones that break before their warranty is up. Either way, as long as Keurig continues to treat me with excellent service and replace my units when they break, I'll keep trying for the perfect brewer that lasts as long as I think they should. I recommend this product only because Keurig has such excellent customer support - otherwise, I wouldn't be able to in good conscience.

Cons: Not durable, Pricey / Poor Value, Needs a bigger Water Tank, HARD TO CLEAN, Doesn't last, Fragile

I upgraded from the Mini brewer to this as a Christmas present to myself and I have ENJOYED my new brewer everyday. I have made hot chocolate for my kids and the apple cider is delicious! The Platinum brewer makes a cup of coffee almost on demand,unlike the Mini I had. All in all, I think I am going to love love love my new brewer!
