Fantastic,until it dies.

I loved my brewer for 10 months. Then it died. Worked perfectly until it just stopped brewing. I don't know where everyone else found the wonderful customer service. I have been dealing with customer service for 2 1/2 weeks and all I have to show for it is a free box of k-cups. First customer service rep walked me through the required troubleshooting steps, promised to send a new brewer. Called a week later to see what was going on and was told there was no record of the phone call. Went through troubleshooting again. That customer srevice rep promised a new brewer and a free box of k-cups for my trouble. K-cups showed up in 3 days. Still no brewer. Customer service tried to insist the brewer shipped, but that was only the 1 pound k-cup package. All the reviews raved about the great customer service, so I wasn't concerned when my brewer died. As of today, customer service is still trying to figure out what happened. I am still without the brewer that I should have recieved 2 weeks ago. No new brewer has been shipped. I am also stuck with the k-cups I purchased after I was told my brewer would be replaced. What a rip-off. The brewer is wonderful when it is working, but not worth the hassle when it dies. Customer service useless.
Pros: Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value

Problems from the start.

This was given as a birthday gift in Aug 2010. I did have some problems getting it set up, but attributed that to me. However it would work great for a couple of days and then would start the problems. I babied this Keurig and cleaned and descaled regularly. I have worked with this for a year and finally in Sept, it just quit completely. Light is off on the brew side, I can hear the pump struggling, water will run through if you don't go through a K-cup or the other filter. I have wasted over a carton of Kcups. I called Customer Service and they could not have been any more courteous, but was unable to help. Now that I have retired, I looked forward to that fresh cup of coffee anytime of the day and the fact that is would always be fresh and ready for a travel mug too. Very disappointed in this unit as I live alone and take very good care of my appliances.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

I was excited when I purchased the platinum model. However, after about 5 weeks of once a day use (with filtered water) the pump assembly began to fail. A quick search online at regular retailers and coffee blogs showed pages and pages of the same problem with the machine. Though the company seemed to try to mitigate the damage at the outset, they apparently are overwhelmed with the volume of complaints. Do not buy this machine until/unless it is completely reengineered for durability.
Pros: Great concept
Cons: Badly engineered, Many with this problem
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this machine. It is used every day without fail. My first one stopped up after using for over a year and when I called customer service about it they walked me through several steps to take to un-stop it. When it still would not operate properly they said "we will send you a new one." Three days later I have a brand new machine which is a later modle. This customer service department is the Greatest!!

This is our second Platinum coffey maker snd it just stopd pumping water through. we tried everything th first time and couldn't get it to work, found one on sale and thought we would try again, in just a short time it quit pumping!!! When it works it great but it's too expensive to buy new every year.I have recomended it to others and they have purchased them but the same problem.

I use my Keurig everyday. I Love the convenience of making a cup at a time. No more stale burnt tasting coffee. I agree with other comments on the importance of cleaning & descaling, to keep your brewer working at optimal performance. Like anything you buy it requires the specified maintenance. It's pretty simple to clean, and if done properly you shouldn't have issues. I use my brewer alot. Whenever I ran into a problem, which was once, I called & was walked through the problem. Since then I've not had issues. I have owned other coffee makers, which were expensive & had to replace them, and their customer service was non-existant. I would definitely recommend this product & think it would be a Great Gift to others. I could go on & on about Keurig, try it out you will not be disappointed. The only thing I would say, if you aren't willing to do a little maintenance then don't bother! Thanks Keurig for a GREAT PRODUCT!!! Also for GREAT COFFEE!!!

I will never use any other brewer except keurig. THEY ALSO STAND 100% BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. iT IS FANTASTIC THE WAY IT TAKES ALL THE GUESS WORK OUT OF A PERFECT CUP OF COFFEE. I ALSO PURCHASED A SINGLE CUP BREWER TO TAKE WITH ME WHEN I TRAVEL. DL
