What Did I Do Before My Platinum System?

Everyday whenever I need a pick up. I am so pleased with this brewer. I think I just might name it. Black Beauty. LOL
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Multiple Settings, Coffee Taste is grant, Easy to use, Love the Color

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Don't buy it

I have had four sent to me because it keeps breaking. It always gives me trouble and then just breaks altogether. They finally wont send another and make it sound like its my fault because it used filtered tap water and not bottled water. I had a different brewer for almost 10 years and it never broke. Don't buy it!!!!
Cons: I Have Had Four Sent To M, Pricey / Poor Value

A Problem and Prompt Service

On the 22nd of September 2010 my B70 Keurig Coffee maker stopped functioning and my life and well being fell apart. On the 23rd I called Keurig to explain what happened. After patiently listening to my sad story of how I had tried to revive my dead coffee maker they said they would replace it. I asked them to hurry as my life was hanging by a thread. [...] to arrive and she would include tracking information. The next day, the 24th, as I arose from sleep craving a cup of coffee I needed to know where my B70 was,[...]on a truck out of Palm Springs (40 miles away) and on its way to me. Immediately my deep depression lessened by half knowing that I would be drinking properly brewed coffee in the afternoon. Around 3:00 pm the new coffee maker arrived[...]. I quickly unpacked it, set it up, ran the mandatory first cup of water and then brewed a cup of Kenya coffee. My world was again on track with my imminent demise having been averted by the prompt action of Keurig customer service. Their service is now the standard by which I will judge all other companies I have to deal with.

Great idea, but machine broke down

My family uses this machine for coffee, hot cocoa and hot water for instant cup of soup. It worked great for 5 whole days, but on the 5th day, it just stopped working. Got no reply from email customer service. Called and spoke to a technician (they wouldn't let me wait on Hold for longer than 30 minutes, so I waited 3 days for them to call me back). The technician instructed me to use a paper clip to make sure all spouts were clear and I ran several hot water cycles using different cup sizes. So far the problem has not re-occurred. I am hoping that was the problem. Customer service told me there were many calls of this nature after Christmas. Keeping my fingers crossed! (a previous review from me was deleted from this site. Wonder why)

I waited weeks before splurging on my new Keurig coffee maker. I was so excited to get it home and brew some coffee. I thought it was a beautiful machine with a awesome concept. And other than once LARGE complaint, I really like my Keurig machine. It does NOT brew a full cup of coffee. No matter which of the 5 settings you select it does not brew a full cup of coffee. In fact selecting the largest setting only gives me a half a cup of coffee. And I do not have those cool LARGE coffee mugs that you could eat soup out of. Just regular coffee cups and I only get a half a cup of coffee. Because of this fact, the coffee is 2x's as strong and I have to water it down or add more cream/sugar which is NOT something I want to do. This also wastes coffee by only making a half a cup. I am debating whether or not to return my Brewing machine or just tolerating the issue. I know it is not just my machine because I have read many reviews of having the same problem. I have wrote Keurig and I am hoping to have some resolve to the matter. Maybe upgrading to the Breville model.

Well, I don't like the Platinum because it sometimes shuts off automatically and we didn't have the auto-off feature on! We switched back to our old brewer (Hamilton Beach) until we buy an Elite or Special Edition. It will be for home use only. Rating: 0.1 (Keurig's min. is 1.0) We kept the Platinum K-Cup holder as an extra. A relative in my family has the Elite and likes it. We used our Platinum for coffee and only coffee.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Turns Off Sometimes

2nd coffee pot, same problem

The greatest cup of coffee going when it works. I'm on my second brewer, a B70, and it needs to be changed. Both platinum brewers are blowing a hole in the top of the k-cup. Nobody knows if it's the k-cups or the machine pumping out too much water too fast. After your on hold indefinitely, the customer service people are great. They offered an upgrade, but if it's all the same technology...

Working out the Bugs 2

An update 2 my last review... Ok, so my PBS cont'd. 2 shortcup me, also dcided 2 cut off & not turn back on til nxt day. So, I turned it on, descald again...@ this point in time, I was cleaning needle every time I made a cup (& no, I NVR lv the used k-cup there... I always remove it & put a fresh 1 in it's place (hv done that since I rcvd my 1st one 3 yrs ago)). Honestly, I do find this 2 be a bit frustrating... YET, I kno the Keurig Brewing Systems r wonderful b/c I hv had my SEB (Special Edition Brewer) for 3 yrs & NVR hv had an issue w/it. So, even tho I am hving difficulties w/this 1... I still give the brewer 4 stars. Wen it wrks, it's fabulous! Besides, I cannot, in any way, complain about the cust. svc.! They hv been wonderful!!! (They r sending me a new PBS.) For those of u who r hving similar difficulties & hv not xperiencd 1 of these brewers til now, hang in there! If sum1 is rude 2 u ask 4 another rep 2 speak with... Good luk! Still, @ this time, I am not comfortable recommending this particular brewer 2 ne1. This is just my opinion.
