read the reviews.....they are accurate, I ignored the warnings because the company assured me that they had resolved the problem.....mine stopped working after 1 week....called keurig for replacement, was told platinum brewer was out of stock until April and the offered me a cheaper model, and a box of K cups, because they still could not guarantee I would get the platinum in April.... I don't even know why I bought another one, my last keurig brewer lasted 2 yrs (after a replacement of 1st one)....its too bad, they make great coffee when they work
Pros: Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps shutting down.

This is a great concept for making a good cup of coffee, one mug at a time. There is either a design flaw or a serious production issue with the machines sold late last year to now. Purchased during December and after a month the machine keeps shutting itself off, just like numerous other reviews here. Exchanged it for a new one, and it is doing the same after a week. Notice how this machine is not available online until April. I hope Keurig fixes this problem.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Shuts Off Itself, Design Flaws
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A real bad Headache

We are on the sixth Platinium maker and still having a problem. Usually they work for 2-3 days then start kicking out when making a second cup. Have told customer service each time we have got a new one from them that it has same problem as ther previous ones. It is a fantastic idea just need one that will work day in day out hope this happen soon. They have been very nice to us and have sent us a replacement each time we get a bad one but it seems like that is all we get are bad ones.. Hope solution for this maker is near???? This is what I have told them over and over, that when you press the button to make coffee the machine usually pumps water to the tank and then makes the coffee no problem but at the end of making coffee you can hear the pump kick in again to pump more water to the tank not as much as first time, and this is when the pump fails it WILL NOT pump the water and after a short time it kicks the power off ???
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Not dependable, Kicks out time after time

I'm on my 3rd machine in less than 3 mos

I bought this unit in Novemeber and about 1 1/2 mos later it stopped working. [...] After that it worked for another month and the same problem occurred with the water resovoir not transferring the water into the machine and it shuts off. Then when it would brew by chance, it wouldn't brew the whole cup. I just receieved my THIRD machine yesterday and its doing the EXACT same thing already (not even a day old!). When I called and asked if anyone else was having this same problem they said NO. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this expensive model. When I call back, I'm hoping they will send me a different model (even if its a step down) so I won't have the continued problems.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved it till it stopped working!

I loved this brewer and convinced several friends to buy it. I hope they have better luck. I purchased this in April 2009. A few months ago, I noticed the cups were about 8 oz size no matter what larger size I was trying to brew. A few days ago, it stopped brewing. It spits out a little water and nothing else happens...the indicator continues to read "brewing". A lot of money for less than a year's use.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How Many Brewers Does it TAKE?

How great it was when I bought my first Keurig! I am the un-proud owner of 5 of these machines. My 5th one has just bitten the dust: Same 'ole same 'ole: THe pump gets screwed up and won't produce the correct size you choose. So now I have about a ga-zillion dollars worth of K-Cups, for home and office, and barely one machine I can use. When these K-Cups run out-sometime in the next century-I will buy NO MORE K-cups or machines, unless it can be proven beyond doubt that the all the bugs have been worked out. I also have a Tassimo machine that has NOT yet failed me. Too bad I can't use the K-cups in that. Very DISSAPPOINTED in the Keurig Brewers. And I have had all the models except the Breville. WIll not get suckered again. Too bad.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Defective Electronics?

I began my Keurig days a couple years ago with a basic brewer and loved it 99%. The 1% I did not love was the noise it made while brewing. Late 2009 I decided to upgrade to the Keurig Platinum Series B70 Quiet Brewer after seeing a family members same brewer, and loved it. My first B70 mostly brewed partial cups of coffee, and/or would shut off mid cup or not power up when turned on again. My replacement would turn on, but would not power up or heat the water and just shut itself off. It never made 1 cup of coffee. My third and current B70 turns on but continually shuts off after 4 or 5 attempts to power up. It will then stay powered on, brew 1 cup, then power off right away. It has also brewed partial cups as well. Seriously, is it too much to ask, to receive a brewer that is NOT defective? I love the ease of making a cup at a time and switching up brews and flavors, but what is the problem with the electronics inside this brewer? I want a working Keurig Platinum Series Quiet Brewer. Keurig, are you listening??
Cons: Defective
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

what a piece of junk

I had to return the Select brewer because after 4 days it quit brewing. The warehouse club that I bought it from stopped carrying the Select and replaced it with the Platinum. I was hoping I might have better luck with this machine. I bought it yesterday and set it up this morning. I was able to get 2 cups of good coffee this morning before it quit. Same problem as with the other machine and same problem everyone else seems to be having. There is obviously a defect with these machines. When will Keurig admit the problem and take the machines off the market until they fix it????? I am very, very disappointed. [...]
