Great Coffee machine!!!

I just returned from a trip visiting an Uncle in the mountains and he has the Platinum Brewing machine. I think this is the best coffee brewer ever! The machine is used alot by my Aunt and Uncle, and of course while I was there it seemed to get double the use! The machine NEVEr failed to brew a great cup of coffee for me! I WILL get a Keurig as soon as I can do it!!!
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Durable, Great coffee
Cons: none

Don't waste your money.

I owned this maker for a year. I don't even drink coffee that much. Basically used it for tea on hot days. It just quit one day and Keurig said I had to de-scale it. I did de-scale it every 6 months. I also use RO filtered water so scale is not the issue. The junk pumps they have in the machine is the issue. Read reviews on the internet about the bad pumps. Keurig will not help. They did offer a discount for another waste of money coffee maker, but I think I will pass and spend my money another company. Buyer Beware.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Fragile, Warranty, Water Pump, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Coffee

I got the 1st Keurig and only a few months later it started giving us trouble. Like others said, it would sound as if it was going to brew water but nothing would happen. I would have to try it many times to get the water to flow thru. Then after the cycle ended, the machine would just shut off. It started happening more often until I finally called and got a replacement from the same place I bought it from. So far I have had no problem with the second one. We really love the machine and enjoy trying all the different coffee etc. Please try to perfect this machine because for the money, it should last much longer than they seem to be, they are not cheap.
Pros: Stylish, Durable, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

I use the coffee maker all day, its easy to clean and easy to use, and dealing with Keurig was wonderful coustmer service where the nicest and frendly and most helpful people to deal with, keep up the good work Keurig, I am going to stay a loyal customer forever.

got my kuerig home and it was so easy to get started! i was so excited after reading all the reviews on this product. after only 6 days the water wouldn't pump through the machine. i figured out that the reservoir needed to be completely full at all times to actually work. well that kind of defeats the purpose of this machine. i might as well have bought the less expensive mini brewer.i am returning mine because i think things should work when they are this expensive. i also think the coffee flavors are terrible.

Cons: Fragile

Clean Water Equals Longer Machine Life

Just bought my second Keurig Platinum after 4+ years of use. Have never had to descale the machine in that time. I use RO (reverse osmosis) water, which is pre-softened (K+ salts), for all my cooking and drinking needs. Believe the low Ca++ salt environment provides for improved machine life. Have had a similar longevity with my Bunn coffee maker (7+ years) with type of water. Some of the bottled waters are spring water, which will taste good but have higher concentrations of Ca++ salts (need de-scaling more often). Had to replace the old one as a piece on the K-cup holder receptacle broke off making it hard to open and brew coffee. Wish that the machine was maintainable, so I could repair it versus having to buy a new one. The Keurig machine is a excellent supplement to my Bunn Machine. Keurig provides a quicker cup of hot beverage or hot water, but the Bunn is cost effective for larger amounts. The Keurig machine is great for entertaining as everyone is able to have the type of hot beverage at the strength that they want.
Pros: Accommodates varied taste, Fast, Convenient
Cons: Lack of maintainability

I had my Keurig for around 3 months when it started acting up. I called customer service and they walked me through unclogging the different placed within the device. It worked probably 4 times and then stopped all together. It is NOT a clogging issue, the water will not even pump from the container to the actual machine to heat up. Called again this morning and left a message for a call back....
Cons: Never works, Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile, Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
