Eat my words !!!!

I pride myself on my character. I call it as I see it. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't admit I have to eat my words from a previous post. I recently posted a scathing review on My B70 Platinum brewer. It made the best cup of coffee I ever tasted. It had the simplest set-up of any brewer I have ever owned. It made for the cleanest coffee station ever and the ease of operation was a snap. Alas the warranty ended on Dec. 18th 2010 and the brewer failed on Dec. 21st. I was extremely upset. I loved this brewer like it was kin, but it was too expensive to be a disposable product and I was not a happy camper. After venting here I sent an email to customer support voicing my displeasure. You can imagine my surprise when they returned my email instructing me to call customer support. I called and an extremely polite Customer Service representative walked me through a few simple steps. !!!Low and behold!!! It still didn't work. Well I thought, (THIS BITES THE BIG ONE). You could have knocked me over with a feather when the Rep. on the other end said they were going to send me a new B70 even though it was out of warranty. I got to tell ya that's integrity with a capital T. Keurig, You ROCK!!!!

We love our Keurig brewer to the point we purchased the small one for vacations away from home. We have purchased this brewer for a wedding gift, and the couple love the coffee and convenience. Other members of our family own Keurig with no complaints. Be sure to read the instructions in setting it up. I would suggest you have the water filter if you have iron in your water. It not only keeps the reservoir clean looking but makes the coffee taste better. I would recommend this brewer to anyone.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Stylish

Poor Quality (Internally)

K-cups are the best single brew. Variety of the k-cups are amazing (although a bit expensive). These machines do not last, at all. I'm going through my 4th machine (different models) in 4 years.
Pros: Good Coffee, Convenient
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disapointed

I loved this machine but the warranty ended Dec. 18th 2011 and today Dec. 21st 2011 it failed. It is far too pricey to last only 1 year. I am truly disappointed, I cannot afford to replace this type of appliance every year. I will go back to perked coffee. The only upside, I will save quite a bit of money on coffee. My husband and I went thru 6+ 24 count boxes of coffee each month.

Is slow during the brew cycle. After 6 months started having problems with the amount of water disbursed, and the machine working slowly. Descaled, called customer service, very helpful, worked better for a time, but now that warranty is up, it is really slow and only 2 of the 5 cup sizes work. The other 3 only give a portion of the water. I would recommend the Keurig, but maybe not this particular one. When this no longer works at all, I will try a different model.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

First Love

I just received my Keurig as an early Christmas gift, and I am in love. I used to spend at least 5 dollars a day on coffee, now I can get great coffee at a much lower cost, in my own home, and in the blink of an eye!
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Takes time to warm up

I am so disapointed in this product! I received this coffee maker as a birthday gift and absolutely loved it. After 9 or 10 months I would put a k-cup in it and hit brew, it would say "Brewing" and sound like it was but nothing would come out. I would have to unplug it and leave it off for about 10 minutes before it would work. This lasted for about a month until that wouldn't even work any more. Still said it was brewing and sounded like it was, but nothing would come out. Customer service gave me all sorts of tricks to try over the phone...still wouldn't work. After telling me that I wasn't cleaning it or putting the k-cups in correctly they sent me another machine. All I had to do was send back the little part where the k-cup goes in (which was nice). I've had my new machine for eight months and this one started doing the same thing a few weeks ago and finally died yesterday. I made sure to take extremely good care of this one to avoid the same issue, but I guess that didn't work. I am planning on calling customer service today to see what they will do this time. When the machine is working I absolutely love it, but am not happy with spending almost $200 on a coffee maker that lasts less then a year.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Expensive brewer with a short lifespan

Received my Platinum Keurig brewer just short of 2 years ago as a birthday present. Loved using it every morning. I have brewed 2 to 4 cups a day since day one. A couple of months ago it started acting up. Worked well then all of sudden the pump didnt work properly and only got partial cups, then would have to reset machine to get another cup. Now about once a week it will just randomly not work at all. It will take the water in and say it is brewing but nothing comes out. I have tried descaling and using a paper clip to clean the exit needle. If I turn it off and let it sit for a couple of hours it will start working again. Since it is past my one year warranty, all Keurig will offer me is a coupon off a new brewer. I think for [$], this coffee maker should last a lot longer than it has. Can't decide if I want to purchase a new one. It's really expensive for a disposable brewer.
