The concept is great, the coffee flavors are awesome, easy to use and very fast. How ever the machine just doesn't last. 1 in 6 people complain about reliability. bought 1 at[...] lasted 40 days. Wouldn't power on anymore. [...]second machine failed after 8 month of use. The hardware is just pure junk in terms of reliability.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Durability

I purchased this product about a year and a half ago. I loved it and used it everyday. I did the descale last week and turned the unit off to wipe it down and it failed to turn back on. Tech support told me it was my fault for not descaling..HUHWas told they would give me a discount on a new one, but after reading the other reviews I asked if the discount could be applied to the new Cuisinart one. I was told no and have decided to take my business elsewhere. Love the coffee, but do not trust the brewer enough to fork out another [...] hard earned dollars.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Fragile, Not durable, Unreliable

I got it last night, did the set-up, and immediately it did not work correctly....so sad, I had been looking forward to getting it, and now it does not work.....short cupping the coffee size the large mug only gives about 1/2 of a cup, and there were coffee grounds in that, then to add to the misery, the water reservoir that is supposed to make 10 cups before filling needed filling after the set up!!!!!!!! Great, that was a waste of money, the sad thing I brought them for my office too...now I am going to hear it if these things do not work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really like this unit

We bought this in June 2007 after seeing one at our friends house in Texas. My wife and I each use it at least three times a day and 99% of the time it works without a problem. We have been short cupped a few times, though. Most of the problems we have had are with the K-Cups themselves. I call it a "blowout" where the top sealed lid of the K-cup opens up and grounds spill over the top of the K-cup, down through the K-cup holder and into the coffee cup. We have also had the gasket that is around the upper needle come loose and fall through the bottom of the K-Cup holder into the cup of coffee. In the time we have had the unit we have only had to descale the unit once and that was two years ago. It will be descaled again tomorrow. We have a water softened and a 2-stage under-sink water filter (particulate for sediment and carbon for taste)
Pros: Easy to use, Visible water resivoir, Multiple Settings
Cons: Somewhat noisy

2nd one that we have bought. "Upgraded" to the platium version and it seemed to work for a few months and not gives you mystery cups. Sometimes they are filled, other times you will get a quarter or half a cup - sometimes nothing at all. Get random messages to descale. We do it and then get same message two days later. Frustrating!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Unreliable

Nice system when it works!!

Very nice system when it is working, probably lasted 3 months before the power started acting up. I can make only one cup of coffee and the system shuts off! I have to literally power the system back on to make another cup. The power only shuts off when I try to make a second cup so it's deceiving because you always have hope that it may work that second time! I am waiting for a newer model but wouldn't recommend this one.

I have had this product for a year. Now it doesn't work. Not worth spending the money just for it to last a year. Top of the line my butt. Not a happy customer.
