Unreliable

Verified Purchase:No
I am on my third Keurig platinum. All three have failed the same way in only 3-4 months -- start making less and less coffee or tea -- now half as much as it is set for. Keurig should fix this problem -- retroactively. They cannot be unaware of it.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got this Keurig for Christmas 2010 and use it every day!! I can't really find anything wrong with this machine just for the fact that it works sooo well!! I did notice that every now and then the K Cup will pierce a little wider on the top while brewing but this really hasn't been a problem!! bottom line is this Keurig Coffee make is by far the best machine i have owned thus far!!
Pros: Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

Short Life

After purchasing my first brewer, it died after less than a years use. After receiving a replacement from the local store where it was purchased, I'm in the same boat again with the unit failing after slightly over a years use. A person shouldn't have to spent [$] every year to purchase a new unit. The short life span of this high priced unit is pathetic and the company should be ashamed of the poor quality.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Fragile, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is just a 'OK' unit.

Ok, I to start off by saying that unless you don't mind buying another unit in about 1-1/2 to 2 years of moderate (everyday use), DON'T BUY ANY OF KEURIGs products (I'll explain in a a bit). I will say that Keurig has a GOOD variety of drink flavors and that is one of the biggest PROs that Keurig has going for it. The other one is that it is easy to use and makes a cup of coffee/tea. Now on CONs. Please note, i'm not trying to make anyone 'not buy' or 'buy' this product, only giving my facts. Ok.. Keurig, should have made every unit water supply line compatible, only one model is water supply line compatible (poor choice of leaving this option off). My current unit is my 3rd unit which has lasted about 21 months and is technically still working but is having issues with pumping water into the coffee cups with K-Cups being used. Sometimes the unit would stop in mid-stream and I'd have to hit the brew button again to make is complete the cycle. Now after doing some research on the web, I found one guy had figured out the issue (his issue) that might be my issue, but I haven't confirmed that yet. So, I have watched the video on youtube on how the cause of the issue. The cycle was this for my Kuerig. It took water into the heating tank just fine, heated the water just fine, but when it was pushing the water from the tank through the coffee K-cup and into the coffee mug, it lacked pressure. Come to find out, the 'airpump' that pushes into the water tank, thereby forcing water out the water tube leading to the K-cup was getting weak. After more research on youtube, the guy I mentioned before, showed the reason. There are solenoids above the airpump. These solenoids were leaking water ever so slightly and when it leaked enough, a water droplet would land on the airpump below the solenoid (which is a very poor design). This, over time, would cause corrosion in the airpump shaft that runs the diaphragm for pump the air into the water tank. I'm not saying this was my issue but it is either this OR the pumps are not made to last, hence, Keurig is not using quality or durable parts in their high dollar Keurig. What I'm about to say is also 100% not supported by Keurig but I feel the information needs to be known. IF you try to fix anything on the unit yourself that is not described in the manual, your warranty is VOID. BUT, IF you are very much a handyman, and know your way around appliances and electronics, you can replace the air pump and solenoids for roughly about 50 bucks but removing the topper from the unit is complete hassle and requires a dremel tool or something of the like. Don't get me wrong, the concept is great and it VERY nice not to have to make a pot of coffee and have the convenience of K-Cups. The information I described above is found by simply Google'ing 'Keurig troubleshooting' and you'll see the information for yourself. ALSO, you should know that Keurig doesn't fix any unit, they will offer you a new unit at their discretion under their terms, but not fix. Which is not a bad. But the fact comes down to this... Parts that don't last. Keurig doesn't repair their units. If they are so 'proud' of this product, they should treat their buying customers better to backup their 'service' and use much more reliable parts. My wife and I love the one we have so were offered another new one at a discounted rate for our troubles, and since how I know how to work on appliances and electronics and my unit is out of warranty anyway, I'm going to replace the Solenoid and Air Pump when the new one arrives but just in case the current one goes completely dead in the process, I have the new one. I don't want to throw this into the dump, so I'm going to try and recycle as much as possible.. KEURIG, YOU SHOULD OFFER THE SAME TO AVOID THE LAND FILLS FROM FILLING UP WITH KEURIG UNITS. Sorry had to through that in.. Anyway, that is my experience(s), take it for what you will. Again, if you don't mind buying a unit every couple of years (or having it serviced by someone who knows how to fix them), I would recommend Keurig. IF you want long lasting performance from a single cup coffee brewer, find another brand. Mr Coffee makes one that uses K-Cups but get the feeling it utilizes the same parts. I'm not 'recommending' or 'not recommending' Keurig products because it is all a personal preference and what are you willing to put up with. I hope this gives you information to help with your own preferences and decisions.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN

Stopped working after one use.

Received the b70 yesterday, I tried 2 k cups and worked, turned it off overnight. And the next day when I turn it on it says not ready and shuts off by itself. I didn't expect a [$] machine to malfunction after one use. How is that even possible? Wow. And the technicians are only able to call me on Monday. And all of the hassle to return it back etc. Wow is all I can say.
