Platinum Brewing System

I have had my brewer for just over two years and it is now not working properly. Sometime it will not fill from the water resevoir and it is only giving a small cup of coffee. I have followed all the troubleshooting procedures given by a Keurig rep and still having the same problems. I had hoped that a [$] machine would laster longer than 2 years. This seems to be a common problem with these machine so I don't think I will be buying another one.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Fragile

Repeated Warranty Replacements

I have owned this machine for over 2 years, but not the same exact machine. I've had it replaced 3 times through warranty due to issues with "priming" or not pulling water through the reservoir. I clean it regularly, use all items recommended for continued health of the system but it just tends to have a problem with one of the two mentioned above issues. I do advise NOT leaving unit on for long periods of time, long time idle on this unit with the heat of the lights under the water reservoir tend to cause bad water smell/taste and spoil the water despite using a filtration item from Keurig to keep the water clean and filtered. Long time heat from the lights under the reservoir tend to be the culprit, so I often turn it off between use or just remove the reservoir from the unit to keep the water from smelling "algae-ish". I am pleased as a consumer that they continue to warranty their devices, but still am frustrated why I continue to suffer the same issues over and over. I use the machine 3-4 times a day minimum, using K-cups and the make-your-own coffee pods in the system. I like that I can use my own grounds or the pre-made pods.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Easy to use

Great so far!

Love this brewer so far, the LED lights are awesome. I love how it has 5 cup sizes. I was originally an Keurig Elite owner but I wanted the variety in cup sizes and the bigger water tank. Only downside is that people complain about the Platinum having a lot of issues. It is also very expensive.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Fast, Stylish, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Very pricey, Pricey / Poor Value

Great brewer! Upgraded from Keurig Elite

This thing is great! The only thing that really is a pain in the butt with Keurig is you have to clean with vinegar to remove "plastic" taste. I got the Keurig Elite for xmas I took it back and got the Keurig Platinum it's worth the extra money. You get 5 cup sizes which is awesome. I love that it automatically cuts on for me in the morning and cuts off when I leave for work. It takes 2 minutes for me to make my coffee and then im out the door. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a fresh cup of coffee everytime.

Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value, Vinegar cleanse required

Not worth the money!

I use this product everyday and the first unit lasted just under a year so the warranty replaced it. The next one is now making alot of noise and I fear this will lead to a premature failure of this second unit. I do like the convenience but the coffee is pricey.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN, Noisy

Love My Keurig

My family and I absolutely LOVE our Keurig Platinum Brewing System!!!! We use ours daily! I even take mine to my parents when I go to visit on weekends! Thank You Keurig!!!!!!! :)

Love this coffee maker.

This coffeemaker has been a wonderful addition to our family. My husband loves BOLD coffee whereas I like the milder tastes. He hates flavors whereas I love to try them. We are so happy now that we can each have our own coffee! And we've had this coffeemaker for over a year and have had no problems with it.

Should last a lifetime

I would think for the price of this brewer it would last years. Typically, I'd buy the average coffee maker for a daily pot of coffee for my husband and I to drink in the morning. They'd last about a year and we'd be out buying another. Well during our last search we decided on Keurig, and figured we would be good to go for years. No more yearly coffee maker purchases right? Wrong! This, just like every other coffee maker, died at the too young age of 1 year! I am sticking with my good ole $50 department store coffee makers from here on out. I WILL NOT spend this insane amount of money every year for a brewer simply because it looks awesome and makes a good cup of coffee.
