I had mine for 4 years and never descaled it. I finally decided to do this and that is when I had the problem and had to replace it.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Fast, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: The Noise Is Anoying, Noisy

Love my Keurig

We use the brewer every day. I love the fact that I can quickly brew one cup of coffee after dinner for me and one for my husband. I like the flavored coffers and he likes the regular coffee. There is no need to make a full pot of only one type of coffee. I LOVE THIS BREWER!

Wonderful to have a fresh cup every time I use it! Even the coffee is great!Have a few fav's but in general I haven't had a bad one yet. Only thing I wish was the coffees were cheaper! But well worth it in the end!!!

Prime message appears too often especially when you are doing multiple brewings. It is very hard to get rid off even if you follow the cleaning instructions. The filter replacements are too pricey.

Great brewer

We have had the Platinum brewer for over 2 years. It is used to make 4-8 cups of coffee daily. We have been very happy with this and have given Keurigs as gifts to family and friends. Recently ours started short cupping then pumping HOT water back into the reservoir. Descaled, cleaned exit needle, etc. Didn't help. I thought the pump had gone bad. After much Google research (it was after hours so no tech support available) I figured out how to fix the brewer. Clean out the TOP needle, all 3 holes, with a paperclip then take the lid off the reservoir, put your finger over the pickup tube to create more pressure and brew a cup of just water. Then remove finger, replace lid and brew another cup of water. Amazing how much gunk there is. No where in the manual nor on the website was cleaning the TOP needle mentioned.
Pros: Great product, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Fast, Convenient

Maybe I'm jinxed by the coffee demon but I just received my 3rd Platinum series maker and it worked fine for a week and is now doing the same as the other 2 previous. When you turn it on it will brew one cup of coffee and it shuts itself off. If you do not wait until it cools completely it will just keep shutting itself off. There's no way on God's earth I could be the only one experiencing this problem. I love the concept of the maker and have already bought numerous k-cups. But you shouldn't have to put up with this kind of quality. When Keurig sent me the 3rd one they said this was an isolated problem. Come on Keurig, 2 from Macey's and now one from you directly. I will be calling customer support when you open Monday! I have also moved the maker to various outlets in the house and that has nothing to do with problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Select your cup size and you never know exactly how much water will be coming out, regardless of the setting! I use the largest cup setting to fill my travel mug every morning. It is about a 16 oz mug. Some days it gets mostly filled (I assume its supposed to be 12 oz) and some days I get 4, some days 6, and on rare occasion 8, all with the same setting. Less than impressed...
