Am on my 3rd Keurig. Bought at Costco and it worked fine for almost 1 year. Then the Prime light came on and I cleaned, descaled and replaced filter and it did not get rid of Prime reading. Costco was very good in giving me a refund so I replaced it with the same model sold by Costco. The brewer worked well for 2 months and then the mechanism that pulls the water from the water canister would not turn off and kept running. It finally turned off and the blinking light came on. I refilled with water but the blinking did not stop. I cleaned the brewer as I had done before and that did not correct the problem. Returned it to Costco and will try it 1 more time. I will not replace it with another Keurig if I have problems again.
Everything is great about my Platinum Keurig Home Brewer... However, after 4 Months it did have an issue where the screen said PRIME for 10 consecutive days. As it turns out, the reason for this everyday PRIME Issue was due to a faulty Cold Water Tank*** When you lift the Cold Water Tank, there should be A small amount of water in the small black reservoir, but there should NOT be any water above that area, once you've removed the Cold Water Tank. In turn, that IS What Causes the Machine to say PRIME, day in & day out. Hope this helps you all. ;-)
Pros: Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Stylish, The Pros Are Obvious, Multiple Settings
I love my machine BUT the K-Cups are too expensive! my wife and I between us drink average 21 cups a day. I figured if I bought a case of 54 cartridges from a warehouse store for $36.00, it would cost us $429.66 a month. A 3 pound container of can coffee costs about $13.00 and makes over 360 cups. bought a Keurig at Costco in Dec 2013 worked good for about 2 weeks then prime started appearing tried fixing it according to manuel even call the number in book rep, walked us through the prime issue still did not work took it back for another one about 2 weeks again prime appeared by this time I am disgusted, called help line talked to a very nice person went through the fixing process still had problems and I went from using faucet water to bottled and no change the rep said if using city water not a well water city water is filtered and would be fine, I have 3 different family members who has the model I have they have no problems oh wait one family has the K65 model and no problems,, now what do I do. not sure if I would recommend or not..
Really like the product, but I am quite disappointed that it failed after only 17 months. The water just pumped right through the coffee maker and would not heat the water. They are sending a replacement at reduced cost but still this is a lot of money for a coffee maker.
