Pointless, wasteful and expensive

My work place recently tossed out our seasoned drip pot for this expensive machine. After the "ooh a and aahhs" passed, we each took a turn brewing a cup of coffee. My first observation was that each cup of coffee requires its own foil and plastic container to later be thrown away. If I want to make cup of fresh-ground, higher quality brew, I have to exchange parts, fill a small filter, and take care of an unnecessary mess while using more water than a drip pot or french press would require---all for a single serving! Quite frankly, this product simply exists for single-cup, lazy, wealthy coffee drinkers who like to think pressing a lever makes them a barista. There is nothing wrong with grinding your own coffee or making a full pot. There are plenty of machines that do this but allow you to pour one cup at a time. The price, quality and amount of waste has led me to start bringing my own little french press to work, and to silently judge each client who uses the Keurig.
Pros: Fast, Good for lazy people
Cons: Poor quality coffee, Creates SO much waste, Pricey / Poor Value

DONT BUY

I have purchased two of these within one year it breaks down doesnt brew the right cup size when pressed, dont buy this one you are better off buying the cheaper one since its not that pricey if it does break down.

I enjoy the fresh taste of every cup of coffee and use it daily. I am unhappy that after every cup the machine requires priming. Even though the water tank has not been moved, a second cup can't be brewed until the machine is re-primed. Please advise me on how to correct this problem.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable
Cons: Always needs priming, HARD TO CLEAN

Excellent Customer Service

I had the "Prime" message appear after each cup of coffee. Tried trouble shooting per manual instructions...no luck. I called Keurig...walked me through, thought corrected.However still "Prime" message. I called the next day, they sent out new platinum brewer... received in 3 days! There was a different water resevoir - works great! We are definitely pleased.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Stylish, Durable, Easy to use, Multiple Settings

Love my Keurigs...all 3 of them

I have a platinum in my home, a personal one in my office at work, and another small one in our travel trailer. Guests LOVE that they can make a single cup of whatever they want. I like that there's practically no cleanup. Wouldn't trade them for anything else!

Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Great coffee machine when it works

I love the coffee maker but it only lasted 6 months and the on switch quite working. I can,t find any body to fix it. Keurig does not make iteasy to find there repair service. This machinecost [$] and it sure is not worth the price for no longer than it lasts.
Pros: Great for a short time
Cons: It only last 6 months

Customer Service Is What Saved The Day

After 14 months my B70 Plat. went haywire, not completing a cycle, shutting off, leaking water, etc. I was disenchanted with the fact that my brewer only lasted 14 months. I knew I was just out of warranty but I decided to contact Keurig anyway. I was greeted by a very friendly tech, Jessica. She walked me through several procedures to try and diagnose the problem. After doing so, she said Keurig would send my a new brewer at no charge. Even though I was dissapointed with the product, the fact that Keurig stands so strongly behind their product, will keep me in the Keurig family for years to come.
Pros: Fast, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Fragile

I wouldn't bother if I were you

Purchased original coffee maker in June 2011. So far, I have gone through 3 different coffee makers and in the process of getting the 4th replacement. I can't recommend this coffee maker to anyone because of all of the problems that I have and continue to experience. My biggest problems are with the water pump (either it won't pump the proper amount or it won't pump at all) and the top water dispensing holes just above the K-Kup constantly clogging up with old coffee grounds. Keurig staff has always been great and most helpful. It's too bad that they don't have a better product to work with.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Clogs up too easily, Too Frequent maintenance, Poor Water Pump
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile
