We bought the Platinum model during Christmas 2011, we LOVE it so much. It is great for the settings sizes because I use the K-cup twice. First on largest setting then I take 2 K-cups (used once before) and make each with the 4oz size. Yum! Just right. The only problem we have had, is the water doesn't prime each time and we have to remove water tank and re-seat it each time. We have replaced it once already and now this one is doing the same thing. Why? I am taking it back for a replacement one-more-time and get another one because we love the fast brew, taste of the coffee (drinking more coffee than ever before) easy use and cup sizes.
Pros: Fast, Extra hot setting, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Great variety of coffees, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Doesn't Prime Everytime

Great brewer!!

Our family uses this brewer daily. Three full time drinkers all day everyday. We each choose very different drinks and this makes it possible for each of us to have what we like. It fits perfectly on the counter and looks very stylish. We have given it to our family and friends for gifts. We are very happy.

Great Xmas Present to Myself!

I purchased my Kuerig Platinum as a Xmas Present for myself and I love it. I have had absolutely no problems with it and I use it everyday. I like the coffees and my wife likes the teas. I like the huge variety coffees, teas, and other hot beverages. It was a smart move to offer sample packs. I am always afraid to try a new coffee and not like it. I like to sample the brands prior to buying!
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

Problems

My platinum machine died in less than 2 years, I bought one for my parents that also died in about 18 months and just the other day my sisters machine died too. I've sent multiple emails to cust. service and not one call or email back. My neighbors platinum also broke. Look up problems on line before buying any Keurig machine.
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN

A year and a half and now its dead...

Was a dream for the 1st year or so. Used only bottled ICE MOUNTAIN water. The cups started getting smaller over time. Then de-scale message appeared. Followed every procedure for cleaning. Still, cups remained only half full. 6 months after warranty expired, NO MORE COFFEE. Machine is dead. Doesnot pump even though "BREW" message on machine. Unplug and wait. Plug back in- starts brewing while filling, only 1/3rd cup- then dies, still says brewing. Don't know what to do. Purchased Black Platinum ELITE from [@]

Love it when it works

I have had my coffee maker for 2 years. Actually, this is the second one because the first one lasted only 5 months. When it works, it's great. However, it sometimes (more often now) won't brew. The unit "tells" me it's brewing, but nothing happens. When this frustrating event occurs, I will go through the descaling process. Now, I must descale at least once a month, if not more. I have used the filters, bottled water, distilled water, but it doesn't make any difference. Every 3-4 weeks I'll wake up and attempt to make a cup of coffee only to watch the unit lay idle. Sometimes it will spit out a few drops of coffee. As I said, when it is workking, it's a great piece of equipment. But when it decides it isn't going to co-operate, it's a piece of junk. Expensive junk.

Have had ours about 2 weeks. We purchased quite a few K-Cups to use (variety). I think that was a mistake. Lots of hype but the product does not deliver. I am considering returning the unit. Use this mainly in the morning, out the door, cup to go. It is fast, very convient and quiet. Controls are simple and the menu is easy to use and read. Like the auto on/off and timer features. Footprint is not too bad. BUT: It does not make very hot coffee. Most of the coffee taste stale and flat (Which may or may not be the machine). Not what I would call good coffee. For someone who doesn't mind a warm, marginal tasting cup of coffee, from an expensive coffee maker this is for you. K-Cups are not recyclable. Save your money. Look elsewhere. There are far better coffee makers for the money that out shine this thing.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Coffee is not hot enough, Pricey / Poor Value, Poor taste and quality, Waste of leftover K-cups
