Do not buy

I'll keep this short as others have already echoed my complaint. The Keurig brewing machines are junk. Literally. After 13 months mine died, like it did for many others. If you are just now wondering if you should buy your first Keurig, just don't. You don't want the frustration. Now then, I'm also an idiot because I am addicted to the quick/easy and great tasting coffee. So after my last one broke, I bought a new one. Sigh. I just can't help it. :-(
Pros: MAKES GREAT COFFEE
Cons: Breaks just after 1 year
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you to Keurig Customer Service, BUT I wouldn't be a current owner of Keurig Platinum Brewing System if Keurig Customer Service wasn't so fast to replace the one machine that gave me trouble just before the one year warranty expired, and totally broke just a couple of month after it. I realized that it wasn't just bad luck with Keurig (4 machines in 5 years), but that the company actually sells a product that is not beneficial for the company's reputation. If this new and replaced brewing system breaks again within the year, I will never buy another Keurig and will advise people to make sure they do their research before spending close to $200.00.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Fragile, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Built-in Obsolescence

When I first received the B70 model, I was pleased and purchased a wide variety of flavors. I showed it off to my friends and we had wonderful "coffee klatches" over the 4 years that this brewer worked. But then the problems started. Just take a look at the videos and you will see what can go wrong. Once the problems start, they escalate and you start wasting k-cups, doing a variety of cleaning tasks in order to produce a cup and over time, the one-cup feature loses any value because you simply cannot produce a cup of coffee. The only solution is to buy a new brewer...well the performance of the old brewer certainly discouraged me from buying a new one, even at discount!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Noisy, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mine stopped working after 1 1/2 years and the warranty is up. Keurig says this is not a typical problem, but after reading the reviews I see that a breakdown is the normal and to have a machine last is not typical. I was offered a platinum brewer for about a $60 discount, which I don't feel is far. Keurig needs to fix their problems, not continue to sell expensive machines that don't last. My Keurig would not pick up the water from tank to brew, but when it did it only picked up enough to make 1/7th of a cup.
Cons: Noisy, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poorly made unit poor customer service!

My unit was purchased as a gift from my husband for Christmas. It functioned OK- it had occaisonal issues that my husband was always able to resolve. It was a total pain to clean/descale. We always maintained it as the manufacturer directed. One day it just STOPPED. No lights, no power no NOTHING. I called customer service and they told me the only thing they could do was offer me a replacement at the "discounted price" of [$]!! We have had the unit roughly 2.5 years- I really believe that something this pricy to buy and maintain (by having to buy k-cups) should last longer than that or be replaced for free.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the idea of the Keurig coffee maker. The coffee tastes as good as the coffee you buy. However, the programmable part of the unit is not reliable. After using this model and very sporadically I might add, I have found that the cup size I chose never made the full cup. I always had to run another cup. I called Keurig for help and did what they told me but it still didn't work right. I love the unit but I am very disappointed in it's operation. I am looking to buy another unit and as much as I love the idea I don't think it will be a Keurig.
Pros: Durable, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Fast
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes, Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the idea behind the coffee brewer and when it works I love it. However this my forth brewer and i have tried everything online and the book says and now its still not working right. I called in and all they can do is offer me a discount on a new one, plus i have to return part of the old one. Not happy but will try again. I guess I'm a sucker for a one cup coffee maker.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the coffee but it's just too expensive to replace the brewer every year and a half.
