Keurig Obviously has a problem!

This will be the third Platnum brewer. We had first one about 6 month or less and quit brewing, Keurig replaced it. Now the second one has quit, but out of warranty about a month or two. We called and they will replace it for less than a new one cost. Question I have is when I look at all the reviews, a VERY HIGH percentage of them all say the same thing. This shocks me to see a very high amount of units fails between 6 mo - 18 months with pump problems! We are going to try one last time and as many other say in reviews, it will be the last Keurig brand if it doesn't last at least 2-3 yrs! It is getting too expensive and a hassle to replace! Time for Keurig to read the reviews and do something about it before they have no more customers!!!! Good customer service doesn't help if the product is not the quality to match the price! Giving you one more chance to get it right!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LONG TIME CUSTOMER DISAPPOINTED...

We have used the Keurig system at home since 2003. Our brewer failed in 2007 and again in 2011. Both times, it was happily replaced by Keurig. The 2011 brewer failed in 2012 and Keurig would not happily replace but only offered a discount on the replacement. It's an expensive coffee maker to last just over a year. I will look at other manufacturers now that the K-cup technology is available outside Keurig. Disappointed but the customer service reps were very nice and helpful, and apolgetic they could not do more to help.
Pros: Fast
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Maybe I'm Just One of the Lucky Ones

I purchased my brewer over five years ago in March of 2007. I've never had a single problem with it. I'm not sure if they've changed manufacturers since mine was made and that's why so many people are having problems with their more recent purchases. I use unfiltered city water and only descale about once every 6 months. I always unplug it when it's not in use and remove the water reservior to drain on a towel. I also run a cycle of water through before I brew to empty out the old water in the boiler that's been sitting in it all night. I'm not sure if these habits have increased the life span of my brewer but it's working for me.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Durable, Easy to use
Cons: Noisy

Was very pleased with the product until it stopped working. Followed all directions and cleaned when required, however, once it goes, you are stuck.. Have purchased four all together now and the same with each one. When contacting Service they indicate that it was not cleaned or descaled properly. Really? After 4 of them, I should be an expert by now.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile, Noisy

I liked my keurig while it worked, but sadly i am one of many whose maker stopped shortly after the warranty ran out. I just got off the phone with customer service...they offered me A new one at a discount. Ihung up and decided to look on my account to see the brewer that theywanted to sell me on discount. Adding to my frustration i read the review july 15,so i called cust service back and read that review to melissa with which she said that review could not be true. I used bottled water to brew my coffee,i descaled as instructed, and my brewer quit.this is a true review.if you want to pay alot for a brewer and jump through hoops to maintain it and buy a new one every 18 months. Keurig is for you.stay tuned.....i asked for a call back from corporate...lets see if they have the same standard answers that melissa kept repeating
Pros: Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

I find it interesting that the same problems that people are having with this system is exactly what has happened to mine. I to have the platinum brewer and it worked great for the past 15 months. Its now belly-up and I am stuck with a bunch of k-cups and no brewer. Now I wish I wouldn't have given my Tassimo system away. Will not buy again or recommend.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great concept! Poor design!

I love my Keurig, WHEN IT WOULD WORK! After 10 months it had quit pumping water. I have multiple emails from the help desk offering all kinds of solutions to fix the problem. Just prior to the 1 year warranty time, I did take it back to BB&B and the manager said there was a constant flow of pump problems. I upgraded at that time to the Cuisinart machine. Thinking different brand would make a difference. Turns out, the pumps are made by the same company and guess what??? About 14 months in, the pump would decide when it would want to work. Never did it work when I had 8 boxes of K-Cups to choose from! I finally took it off the counter and let it start sitting in my garage. I do truly love the concept of Keurig, I just wished they'd admit there is a pump problem and fix it. All coffee makers utilize a pump system and after Mr. Coffee sat stashed in a tote in the garage, moved in and out of our travel trailer, it still is faithful, every morning at 4:45 waiting on me to pour the first cup..... Come on, Keuring, figure the pump problem out....please.
