Stopped working after a month of use!

I expected at least a summer from this product and found about 4 weeks of use before it just stopped working. It only sat on my kitchen table from the day I purchased it. Never moved around. I am not happy and will never purchase a Holmes brand again!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought another fan prior to this and returned since the airflow was minimal. This fan moves the air when I set it in front of my stationary bike to help keep me cool.

After a few short months, the cheap plastic switch house broke and my fan is useless.

We bought this fan (again) to replace the first one my daughter had for a couple of years because it is the loudest I can find and is great for white noise on the highest setting. She can't sleep without it. It worked for a couple of weeks and now will only stay at the lowest (quietest) setting, regardless of which setting it is on. i am currently searching for another one that is just as loud but am disappointed in every other one we try.
