I purchased this fan as a replacement for a much larger stand mounted osillating fan. It's a fraction of the size and easily moves twice as much air. It's a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had bought one similar a few years ago and broke it, so glad they still manufacture them!! We ordered during the holiday season and when we recieved the fan it was damaged during shipping. One less than 5 minute call and a new one was on it's was on its way at no charge or hassle. Great company to do business with!!

I have used Holmes products for decades and they have never disappointed. It is warm here in Southern California, so I leave the fan on 24/7/365. I have tinnitus so I need the background noise to be able to sleep, this fan is the perfect sound level. I purchased this to replace the smaller Blizzard model and this is a big improvement in cooling. I highly recommend this product and all Holmes products. My only issue is, this fan will point straight and will tilt up, but unlike the previous model I had, it will not tilt down. Where I have this fan located, I really wanted it to tilt downwards so it blows on me. But, it moves enough ait that it's not a big issue.

This is the best fan I've ever had. It's very powerful for a table fan, and I would highly recommend it. It's a great fan to sleep with, as it keeps me cool and blocks out the outside noises. I live in an apartment, and it can get noisy at times. I use it often when I'm getting ready for work, as well as when I'm in the kitchen cooking. I love this fan!!

Have had Holmes Blizzard fans in my home for the last 10 years. Love them for sleeping. They move the air and are not whisper quiet. Just the way I like it. Only down side is, I wish they still carried the tall ones. My husband accidently knocked ours over and broke it. Had to order the desktop one, but still happy with it.

Best fan for an indoor overheated work environment

I work in a thrift store and our back room gets hot (80°+ even with air conditioning on) and we rely on fans that have been donated. You have to have a fan on your face all day for it to be bearable. This little one came in and is the best and coldest air flow of any of the fans we have. This is the only one that actually makes you feel cooled off, whoever donated it to us is an angel. Someone else uses it but when I'm the only one working in the back I move it to my area because my big box fan doesn't cool a fraction of the amount this does and I'm seriously considering buying a new one out of pocket for myself.
