Rattled. Made all kind of noises, even on low. I returned it immediately and still have heard nothing nor gotten a refund.

Impossible to clean!!!

Do not buy this fan if you expect to clean it!!!!
Holmes recommends never removing the front grill but using a vacuum cleaner to clean it, that’s ridiculous! A vacuum cleaner doesn’t have enough suction to remove dust, dog hair etc. from the blades when holding the vacuum outside the grill/body of the fan!
Wish I’d never bought the Holmes HAO-90!

Worked great for awhile....

but then the oscillation started to act up. It still oscillates but it makes a loud clicking noise at various points in swing cycle. This defeats purpose of steady white noise for sleeping. Otherwise, a nice inexpensive fan - pushes a fair amount of air for its size. Purchased November 2020.
I would recommend this to a friend!
