Worked great until the blender jar cracked!

I've had this blender/processor (the previous model FP2620SC) for almost 5 years. Yesterday I left it in the sink to soak before I hand wash it, and all of a sudden I hear a loud pop - the jar cracked! How can I get a replacement? I really like this processor and don't want to buy a new one.

Love it, but .....

I use my blender only periodically and have not had the chance to use the food processor. When I used the blender it initially worked fine. As in some other reviews the plastic piece above the gears breaks and my whole base that powers the machine does not work. I hope Back and Decker will help with this problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Damaged part replacement

As with many other reviews.....I have had this product for a few years. Everything works great, EXCEPT the blender coupling on the power base has rounded out so the blender won’t work. Very poor design...metal part on blender base with plastic coupling on power base. I’ve searched for a replacement part to no avail. Is this particular part available at all? I hate to toss this unit when it only needs one small part.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ring cracked now the jug leaks :(

Had for a while but the gasket cracked more and more now it's cracked right through and the jug leaks, everywhere! Contacted a few places for a new gasket but it's not even offered. Wanted this unit to save on space as I have a really small kitchen but for constant use for smoothies and other uses it is pretty hard on the motor as well making me worry it will conk out and then I'd be out of a blender and a food processor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thumbs down for B&D appliances.

With the understanding that mechanical things do break and sometimes have defects I am still displeased with my experience with B&D. I got the feeling that once the unit was purchased they could not care how long it would work for. They didn't state any period that it was expected to last for and offered no help in understanding how long I could expect another unit to last if I was so foolish as to purchase this brand again. My unit had the center drive break off and I see (from this site) others have suffered a similar fate. They claim that there is no issue that they know of, refuse to provide parts so the customer can repair it and also state that there is no facility that will repair their appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
