We got this as a Christmas gift. The first couple of times we used it we were happy with the performance. We have only used the blender about a dozen times...if that. Didn't try the food processor. Last Sunday we had a dinner party and I was making soup that required blending as it was a creamed soup. I no sooner put it in the blender and when I turned it on, the PLASTIC gears obliterated themselves. Needless to say it is trash. Never will I buy another nor will I recommend this product to anyone. For the price, it should last more than a few uses!

Six years old and it's still working great!

I have owned my black and decker food processor/blender combo for six years and I love it. It has never given me any trouble performing any task. I use it to chop, slice, grate, and blend. It has helped to make everything from bread crumbs, salad dressings, hummus, salsas, smoothies, dough and much more. It is easy to use and also clean. If and when it ever stops working, I will replace it with another of the same.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Motor attachment problem

I had the same problem as many people here... The plastic motor attachment just stripped with two weeks of constant use. And I was usind mainly for making juices and smoothies. I was really enjoying the product but now I am very unhappy and not satisfy with this problem... Could anyone solve this problem (by calling the service or something else)?

Only half works

I have the FP2650SC model of the B&D Food Processor Pro. I bought this processor a number of years ago. The processor works well but the blender stopped working after a year or less. I've been spending money on immersion blenders ever since. I would really like to have my blender fixed but from other reviews I've seen it doesn't look like the parts exist. I assume it's the coupler that has broken. The blade does not turn when I turn the blender on. In addition to this I can't figure out how to attach the shredding and slicing blades onto the processor so I've never been able to use this function either. I assume there is a small piece I am missing? I am trying to download the manual on the website to see if I am missing something. Needless to say I am disappointed. I am a foody and would love to be able to use the nice appliances I have. B & D if you can help me in some way it would go a long way in restoring my faith in your product. Thank you.

I would not recommend this product

The motor attachment for the blender is made of plastic and soon stripped, making the blender unusable. I was still using the food processor, because it has a different coupling. After a while, it just started grinding when I turned it on, even though everything was attached correctly, and it no longer works. I'm not going to buy a Black and Decker again.

Too bad

Started off great, but stripped the plastic coupling inside of two weeks. Can still use the food processors but don't expect them to last either. Since it was a gift I can't take it back to the store. I wouldn't recommend it.

Best kitchen helper ever!

I had a Kitchenaid, gave it away. This is 10 times better at half the price. Does everything including finely grated Parmesan cheese etc. Super easy to clean as everything comes apart.
