Everything about this watch is great. It’s durable and looks good. Please make another model just like it but with 3 alarms and more colors!

Awesome, Rugged Watch

I've owned only two watches in the last 25 years these were it, so they last a long time. I don't take them off when I should & beat the heck out of them, & they just keep doing. I swim with these a lot with no issues. I'm buying a third, as the last one doesn't owe me a thing. They're a lot smaller then some other mfrs shock type watches. The mineral face & stainless case back are great. Batteries last me about 3 years. It's an old design, but it works great & I hope they never stop making them. You can't beat it for the price & performance!

Reliable, Tough, Practical

I had the original non-indeglo version of this back in the 80s while in USAF doing a lot of road cycling, and swimming, the was accurate and took a beating I finally give the original to my father-in-law who was looking for a cheap dependable watch. I was travelling to Africa and wanted to leave the more expensive watches I own at home so thought of the timex and its reliability. I am so happy they kept the original physical design as it is so well thought out and brings back memories. I love the new upgrades to this version: the indiglo night mode, alarm modes. I originally picked up a G-Shock as a beater but do not like it, heavier than the Ironman, and too bulky. Even though the Ironman is slimmer than the G-Shock the design is still rugged enough for anything I want to do with it including construction work and rock climbing, also being slimmer allows it to slide under the cuff of a dress shirt pretty easily. The mineral glass face is recessed below the rim so it is extremely unlikely to get scratched, after years of use my original was all scratch up around the rim but the glass was clean. I use the 2nd timezone to track GMT time. I work as a programmer for an international company and the 2nd timezone feature comes in handy when scheduling deployments. The watch is very light too, and the battery can be self replaced. I have had this one swimming quite a few times and use it as a surf watch. I still do a good bit of road cycling and MTB riding and use the watch as a backup to other data gathering devices. I have had this new version for 2 years now and it is still going I expect it to last many more years. In the older days Timex would guarantee accuracy to +-15s/month but watches were usually around 5s/mo that guarantee has been very relaxed over years :-( this Ironman seems to be pretty good about +3-5s/mo so far. I would definitely recommend this watch to someone looking for a cheap rugged reliable watch. I like the styling much better than the flat faced Ironman watches.

These watches are awesome for every day use. Very rugged, go anywhere, do anything, no worries, reliable watch. I use timers, alarm, count down all the time and battery lasts about 5 years. So happy Timex hasn't discontinued this model as this has been my go to watch for probably 20+ years.

Cool Design, Dependable

Very slick design, serves it's purpose very well; in my everyday tasks, outdoor activities and casual events. It's a very nice buy. I bought my IRONMAN Original 30 Shock 3 weeks ago as a gift for my self (for working hard). I am looking forward to the adventures with my IRONMAN shock in the years to come.

Best watch I've owned

Mine has endured several summers in lakes and pools as a camp counselor. Incredibly durable and reliable, its functions are great, and it fits well even on my skinny wrists. Its low-key bulky style is deceptively cool and sporty. You'll never need another sports watch!

Stay true to what works

I see companies all the time mess up a massive hit they've had simply due to some perceived need to change. Great companies, when stay true to their core successes. The Honda Accord somes to mind for autos. Been making it for many many years and develop a following. For the Ironman this it it! My brother had one in college like 30 years ago, know others who have had versions over the years, and I've had a few. It is simply a winner watch and design. Thanks for the new versions Timex but also thanks for keeping this classic alive. It is comfortable, functional, durable and so on. I'm now in my 50's and have had many opportunites to wear much more expensive watches and I still wear this one in black/yellow every day.

Love watch, don't like the band

I've had a timex watch for 50 years. I'm disappointed that you no longer carry the ironman with a metal band. Always loved the metal band. Easy to take off when working and hand washing. Wish those styles would return.
