Great gas cooktop

I have had GE gas cooktops in the past, so when we started building our new home I wanted to look at GE first because of the quality and ease of use. This one is really nice with the extra cook area for large pots in the center. My only disappointment with my cooktop is the distance between the grates. I wish they were a little closer. Some of my smaller pots make me a little nervous when I use them. I do have to make sure I don't get them off the grates. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. It's really easy to clean and use otherwise, and I'm pleased with it overall.

Stainless Scratches when lifting grates off

Within the first month of owning this product I noticed that when llfting off or putting on the grates that scratching occurred to the stainless. Great care has been taken to do this for cleaning but scratching continues to occur.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am redoing my kitchen with all GE Profile and am very happy with the cooktop. The center Bruner features are great for large pots and pans. The look is very clean and makes the kitchen look great!

Have had my gas cooktop for over a year and am very happy with it...but do agree that the grates are too high..or the burners are too low. Wondering if GE has considered making an adapter or replacement part to eliminate this problem?

We bough this to replace an older one and so pleased with it. The center back burner is great when I can. I used it for quick very heat for pasta or cooking potatoes. I love it, the grate over the burner are very heavy, I can manage but it makes me feel that the whole stove top is made well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
