This has been in our home for about 5 years. It replaced a 30+ year old appliance that had never had any issues before then. It had to be replaced because there were no replacement parts! I agree with several of the 1 star reviews. The knobs have been replaced 4 times. The locking mechanism has been checked twice because the knobs would not turn. There are no kids in the house so we never use the lock. The entire heating assembly has been replaced on 3 of the 5 burners. Two don't come on at all. I know nothing is made like it used to, and apparently quality is no longer important but this is really disappointing. Did I mention that there are two eyes that work pretty well so they get 99% of the use and this was even before the 2 burners stopped working. I guess the good thing is I don't need all 5 knobs, ha ha
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor build quality of control knobs

I purchased PGP986SETSS about two years ago and within first year, the control knob for one of the burners got jammed. It required replacement of the control mechanism and broken knob. A few months later, same problem again. Other knobs break easily as well. So frustrated with the product that I am thinking about junking it and get some better brand

Good, but watch for knobs

We have had our top for almost 3 years, 1 of the knobs was always difficult to operate and broke recently, they are made of plastic so beware when turning them!

5 burner is really a 3 burner cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range top can not accommodate more than two All-Clad pots and pans at a time.
Very unhappy!
I tried to cook with a 13" pan in the center and 2 - 4.5 qt. pots. They don't fit!
If you cook a with nice cookware ,you may want to consider another cooktop.

Grates are too high

My home came with this range pre-installed from the builder. The grates for this range are too high. Except for the center burner, all others provide really low heat because of the height of grates. I am looking for any solution to get replacement grates for this range. If anyone has any suggestions, pls let me know.

Very bad cooktop

I bought this cook top around a year ago ,knobs get stiff to turn. the gas valve is broken and also difficult to clean and low quality materials are used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the fifth burner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got a really sweet deal on this after a lot of haggling and I do love the 5th burner and use it almost exclusively. You can have a 4 qt sauce pan on one of the front burners and use the big spaghetti pot in the middle. They fit. The only draw back to this is the placement of the knobs in the center. Looks pretty, but everything drips on them and there is a safety issue. My husband takes baking sheets out of the oven and places them on the heavy duty grids, fine. One time the edge of the pan was leaning on the knob and gas was escaping. That is why there is a lock on the knobs. We only discovered it when we smelled gas.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't boil

Only one of the five burners will bring a pot of water to a rolling boil.
