Have no complaints with the cooktop but the fridge and the dishwasher need some work

came with failed burner which cannot ignite

We got this product as part of our new construction home from builders.
i'm pretty sure builders will get in bulk or something, But that doesn't mean they get all good products from GE.
It worked very first time when i tested thats it, After we closed on our home - It worked once again and then it never ignites not sure the reason also.

I have to register and go through a lot of process now to get this repaired, Not sure if it can be done or not.
So much for a new home and new applicances
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WooHoo Gas cooking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop replaced an old electric cooktop that I hated. In my old home I had a GE gas...loved it. Moved here and had to relearn how to cook on electric. After 5 years we finally did a complete kitchen remodel Went with all GE and the first appliance I chose was this cooktop all other appliances were choosen around this. I love gas cooking. This cooktop is super functional with the power boil feature, the built in griddle, child safety locks...well just everything. The quality of the grates heavy and sturdy. Switching back to gas from electric....like riding a bicycle!!! I have a convection oven under this cooktop and together they compliment each other beautifully. Thanks GE

I am disappointed that it does not have a timer built in. The simmer burners are wonderful and just keep food warm without burning the pan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It doens't have a timer which I miss. The large middle burner has not been used much yet, but I hope to use it for canning. The griddle needed sufficient seasoning. I had a sticky mess on the first batch of pancakes, but the rest, after another layer of veg. oil came out fine, and everything past that. It looks fabulous on my new granite counter top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in Oct 2012 and have enjoyed how it cooks and heats consistently the food. I really like that you can use the griddle or replace to have 5 individual burners. Very nice looking. Just make sure that it is hooked up correctly by the installers or it will not work correctly.

Excellent gas cooktop for a busy mom with a big family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our cooktop and although we are not a big family, our extended family always comes over on the weekends, and this cooktop is so easy to use and convenient. It comes with a griddle and the double burners turn on at the same time. It's easy to clean and very powerful, we love it.
