Solid Cooktop

Only downside is the distance between the burners and the top of the grill surface. If the surface were 1/2-1/4" lower it would save a lot of gas.
Otherwise, very happy. I was concerned about having a stainless cooktop from a cleaning perspective, but stains haven't been an issue at all!

Great cooktop

Since we installed this cooktop a few months ago, we've been enjoying our cooking. We had replaced an old electric cooktop, so new and gas make cooking great. The grills are great for sliding pots across. The Lodge griddle is fantastic for cooking everything, though a reminder to cure it first and regularly with a little oil. It is everything I expected it to be and worth the money. If there is a complaint, it's that the grills are high off the counter, but that is minor.

I cook a lot and Gas is the only way to go. This cook top performs very well and i would tell anyone to buy it!

Good Features, Not So Good Features

Love the lighted controls (helps me remember to turn the burners off) and the high power settings. Love the center burner especially the very low setting. Heavy duty construction good too. Dislike the distance from the burner to the bottom of the pan - not only is heat lost but pot handles get hotter than with my previous stove. Thinking of taking a hacksaw to my next can of pumpkin to make a 2.5" high ring to channel the heat up to the pot.

Love the power boil for large cookware

Have been very pleased and enjoyed cooking on this attractive gas cooktop. I especially like the center power boil burner as I do canning and cook large pots of soup. I entertain a lot and actually cook and serve from the cooktop in my island. It's easy to keep clean, and I love it!

Commercial quality cooktop

I bought this GE Profile gas cook top about a month ago and I am really impressed with it. The cooktop maintains a low simmer heat very well. Overall, the quality and workmanship are what I would expect in a high end commercial grade cook top. I am very happy with it and am also glad it is made in the US!

Heavy duty cast iron grates are fabulous

I have been using this cooktop for 6 months and love it. The stainless steel surface is easy to clean. Love the cast iron grates. My previous cooktop had enamel grates that were hard to clean, always looked dirty and ended up chipping off. That will never happen with these. The different burner powers are great. We are on LP and this works great with the propane.
