Epson Artisan 837 Awesome All-in-One Printer!

I always do my comparison shopping before purchasing any consumer product, especially computer related items which are constantly evolving. The Epson Artisan 837 was very highly rated for it's reliability, functionality and cutting-edge technology, not to mention reasonably priced replacement ink cartridges. So far, I can't disagree, the only drawback was the slightly lengthy driver installation process, and I have a 6-core PC attached to a turbo-speed network. (Utilized a USB cord, as recommended, to expedite the install process) Aside from that, this is the best printer I've ever owned!
I would recommend this to a friend!

A wonderful printer

I am completely happy with the acquisition of this printer. I am replacing another which although very good quality,was very expensive for being the Laser type. It is fast, has the characteristics appropriate for use in an Office in the House or just for home use.

First I was amazed at how quickly I received my printer. This is my second Artisan printer. Wanted one that did more than my original one, and this one seemed to fit the bill. Setup was a breeze, and operation is much the same as my old one. I trust that this one will perform just as good as my old one. Looking forward to being able to print better pictures, along with the fax capability.

Great Printer for Photograhers

Overall great printer for photographers. You will want the XL ink cartridges for any amount of photo printing. If you have a newer computer with USB 3.0 ports, be careful about plugging this printer into those when using Windows 7. In Windows 7.0, when plugged into a USB 3.0 port with always on power on the port, the machine will NOT reboot. You have to use a USB 2.0 port for a Windows 7.0 reboot to work.

This is my second Artisan 800 series printer. Picture quality is great and sheet printing is great especially disc printing. uses a little more ink than the competitors. If you are not bothered with ink use, it well worth the money.

I have only had the 837 for a week but in that time it has worked perfectly. The photos are very high quality. The touch display is another great feature. The changing of the ink cartridges has been made much simpler than other Epson printers. Being able to fill paper trays with regular paper and photo stock is great except positioning the paper takes a little practice.

Great so far... like the DVD/CD tray... it is built in and automatic with push of a button... I had an Epson r340 before and the tray was a manual insert... more trouble to do... has the built in tray for 4x6 or 5x7 photo paper. Got it at the sale price and it is a great buy for the money.

The Epson Artisan 837 all-in-one printer produces the best quality printing that is available in a home/work printer. The price was low for scch a great quality printer,and shipping was included. The installation was a snap with no going back to make changes to the install at all. I would recommend this printer to anyone that is looking for a high quality printer that sips ink and produces brillant prints and photos.
