When I first opened the box of my printer I had mixed emotions. After setting it up from the easy to follow instructions, and using all the functions, I was very pleased with how it operated. What I liked about it is the touch screen and the ability to move from one function to another quickly. With the ability to insert an SD or CF card printing becomes a snap. My pictures came out sharp and colorful and I was pleased at how fast it was. If not in use it goes to sleep and no worry about turning it off. When you are ready to print a picture, touch the screen, the paper door opens for you to insert the paper. Touch the screen again and it starts printing. I am very pleased with my Artisan 837 and glad I own it. Thanks for a good, friendly product Epson.

Easy installation and love the 4X6 photo paper tray. Everything worked just fine right out of the box. Very happy camper, thanks for a fine product................Don

Fantastic Color

Just installed new printer and was hesitant to purchase due to cost of ink. However, after seeing how beautiful the photos are I'm in awe. VERY glad I chose this printer.

We use the Artisan 837 almost exclusively to print photos that we take with a series of Sony Nex cameras. We have compared our prints to "professional" prints and find they are as good or better.
We have quite a few frames that are easy to load and unload, so we use the printer to keep our photos rotated. On the average we change out any given frame as often as once a week depending on our shooting schedule. The prints are so good that people think we have spent a fortune having the prints outsourced. :) (The only time we have them outsourced is when we want one bigger than 8.5 x 11".)
We would definitely recommend this printer to anyone who would plans to use it as a true photo printer.
Having it on our home network is great. We can print from either office or from any of our portable devices.
Good job Epson!

High Quality Images

The printer was very easy to set up with excellent printed and on line instructions. The footprint is fairly large but not out of line relative to all it does. The image quality on a variety of papers is excellent. Early indication is that ink consumption is going to be relatively low but time will be needed to confirm this. I have been very happy with the photos I have printed. Colors are brilliant, lines are crisp and sharp. Have not printed B&W photos yet.

I use my printer to do photos and they are so very clear. I have just bought my 2nd Epson printer because I have been so pleased with it.
I also do a lot of other printing because we travel all over the country doing Disaster Relief Work as Volunteers. It is very dependable.
