My Epson Artesian 837

I have had my Epson for about a year now and it is the best printer, copier and fax machine that I've ever owned. I've used many other inkjets, lasers and etc. printers in the past 20 or so years but this Artesian 837 out performs them all by far. I would recommend this printer to everyone I know and then some...

great all-in-one

I hadn't hooked this up for almost a year because I had another Epson Photo Stylus. Well the heads clogged on the photo printer and I set up the Artisan 837. Wireless hookup was fairly quick. I haven't printed photos yet but as a regular document printer and copier it is very nice. I also haven't tried to use the fax yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used other all in one printers in the past, but this Epson is the one I'm most pleased with. It was easy to set up, makes quality prints, and it looks good in my office. The high capacity ink cartridges are a great value and they are easy to find. This Epson was bought after researching different brands and I know I made the perfect choice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

837 all-in one printer

This printer has been one of the most reliable printers I ever purchased. It is easy to change ink cartridges, and the easiest to operate. I love all the features in the Epson 837.

Toner black hole & iffy copies

I have mixed feelings about this printer, although right now, 1 star would be too many. It sucks the very expensive toner (I have used only Epson brand) like it was free. Quality of printing is marginal. It was good at first, but this Holiday season, as the last, I have to go to an outside printing house for my cards, which is one major reason I bought this model in the first place. This year, I cannot get one good print. If I do a Head Clean, & then a Nozzle Check -- both of which use more toner -- I can usually get a 1/2 good print. By the middle of the page, the color has messed-up & is worthless. This is with all new toner cartridges !! Then I must do another Clean & Check in order to get another 1/2-only good print. It is so stupid & useless for my purpose. =

Can print on DVDs/CDs

Have been using Epson printers since the DVDs/CDs printing feature was marketed by Epson and have continued to do so to date. Have not had any operations and maintenance problems with this particular Artisan 837 printer and the high capacity ink cartridges last for a while before requiring replacement (for home use only). The Epson ink cartridges are expensive if you think about what you get for the money. The printer is excellent and works together with my Mac mini with no problems. If you think about what you get from the Artisan 837, its a steal, except you'll be paying for the ink cartridges down the road. Copying, printing photos, scanning, etc. are all excellent and the control display in green lighted text is very useful. Any problems encountered with using the printer can be troubleshot with the pdf user manual.
