Artisan 837

I had the Artisan 810 for approximately 3 years before it broke which is a senior citizen in printer years. I bought the 837 because I loved the 810 and I wanted one just like my 810 and it is only with some modernizations. Great Machine!

Terrible printing color

this printing does not print the color to match what is shown on the computer monitor; the colors all print extremely dark to the point that you can't even make out the photo. This is a terrible printer.

Great print, but flimsy paper carriage

This is a great general use printer. I use it every day to print 4 x 6 photos and certificates. The only complaint I have is that the paper carriage that receives the printed paper, broke very earlier on. I just purchased the artisan 1430 wide format printer and still use my 837. I highly recommend Epson printers.

I'm so disappointed with my first Epson printer

Bought this Epson Artisan 37 a couple months ago and every time I have to use it I'm so disappointed. The paper feeder makes me want to scream!! When I try to print a page it pulls out several sheets of paper. This causes waste in paper, labels and ink. It messes up all the time. It's very frustrating. I wish I could return it.

The printer stopped working in the middle of a printing job. I will not load paper, nor will the front stay shut with the power off.
should I replace or have it repaired?

Really nice "All-In-One" printer, but...

Once I finally installed the printer on my wireless network I was truly impressed with the speed and quality of print. The installation software is a different story, however. I ended up manually installing the printer on the system since the automated software never could find the printer in a wireless setup and it would not allow me to manually indicate where the printer was.
At this point I have not used the scanner utility or the FAX utility, so I cannot comment on them, but the printer alone has made me pleased with my purchase so far.

Terrific All In One

Been using the Artisan 837 for about two years now. It is an excellent all-in-one printer, and the photo printing quality is simply amazing. Photos are clear and crisp with outstanding hue and saturation. Spot color on mostly B&W pages pop out at you and add drama to the job. I highly recommend this printer.

Never again!

Extremely dissappointed with the quality of this machine. The paper tray is just about made of disposable plastic - EXTREMELY flimsy, and loading paper is a nightmare! Terribly cheap constuction for the price! The paper feed takes several pages at a time. The control panel has had lines running through it from the minute it came out of the box, and it's very finicky. This is my first wireless printer, and it never stays online. Never again!
