The print is very good. It does have a problem sometimes in skipping a page when you are doing multiple printing

Ink does not last as long and harder to find in stores. Draft mode is so lite it is hard to see. Paper jams a lot. My learning curve was a little longer I think because this printer does so much more than I am used to. Picture quality is great Has more print options. Still learning all the different combinations and options.

Excellent print quality. not hard to use but the wifi set up was new to me so that was a small hurdle to figure out. I did not know that the 837 has a dust removal option and it worked great. that saved me a lot of time but now I have to rescan old pics but that will be a joy to do. the print quality put's to shame anything the retail stores can do and I don't have to go anywhere to get excellent quality it's right here in my house. excellent unit Thanks Epson!

I had the Artisan 810 for a few years and it worked great until one day, the print quality went south. No matter what I tried, could not get it to work. Time for a new printer. We only use Epsons in our house (R3000, Artisan 810 & XP 400) so it was an easy choice...Artisan 837. Very easy to set up via wifi....works great...what do you expect, it's an Epson.

This is my 5th Epson printer, and 2d all in one (wireless). It prints very well, and quickly. It meets my expectations, and, based on previous Epson printers, I expect it to perform well for quite a while. Ink costs are high, as with all Epson printers. ADF is better than the 800, but still not very dependable. Wireless connection is solid and dependable. Access to authorized repair centers is very poor. The Artisans require a maintenance after a set amount of use. The number of authorized service centers is extremely limited, and expensive if you have to send the unit.

Disappointed

I don't know why this printer is named Artisan. I am an artisan/artist. I dearly wanted a lower priced printer that I could use to make small prints that would look great. This printer will make very nice looking prints but ONLY on paper.
You cannot use ANY substrate heavier than copy paper and get a reliable copy.
Not even plain old tag board.
I would love it if you could, and I'm just sad that I spent the $ on something that isn't even close to able to do artisan printing.
If you try to make a print on a heavier paper-- it will make splotches on it --if it does anything.
Also--I would like to be able to use NON Epson papers. It can do a lovely job on watercolor paper--but then again.. you can feed in the paper and splotches of ink.
Not every artist has mucho $$ to buy a stylus, I had heard this was the next best thing for small jobs-- sadly it is not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I Just enjoy this Unit. I wanted to eliminate running wires and this little GEM helps out with that; plus the Picture printing was Great ... Kudos Epson, I have been a Loyal Epson User and with the Artisan 837 this tradition lives on!!!!!
