Set up accomplished by nontechnical artisan!

So far my non technical self has managed the set up to print, scan, fax, and set up with ipad to print wirelessly. Print photocopy and print from ipad file both look good. Love the paper tray holding both sizes of paper at once. Adaptable for different size paper including legal size! Couple issues still to figure out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cool machine

Took awhile to do all the down loading but was worth it. I can print fro my laptop, my Ipad and of course my computer Faxing was great.
The idea of 6 ink colors was very useful.

I had my eye on this printer for awhile. I had seen that most reviews were good. When this printer went on sale I purchased one. I've had it for about a month and love it. I make a lot of music cd's for my friends and the cd printer is a awesome feature that does a great job. The pictures I print from my camera are top notch. This is just an all around great printer and for the price it can't be beat. I've had other brands of printers but none matches the quality of Epson. Thanks for a great product at a great price.

I just unpacked my Epson Artisan 837 Printer and set it up myself with no gliches....hooray ! Then I printed out a couple of 4X6" prints and they are good, really good.
So for today, I am giving this printer a 4 because I am a new user.

I purchased the Artisan 837 so I could take advantage of its airprint feature from my iPad as well as computers. The printer I bought had a hardware problem but Epson made good and replaced it promptly; good customer service!
Although I make relatively light use of the all-in-one printer, it has served me well thus far. The whole Artisan series has been great and each upgrade has served me well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not to like?

My new Epson Artisan 837 All-in-One printer arrived on time and I couldn't wait to unpack and set it up. Installation using a wired ethernet connection to my home network was amazingly easy and problem free. I tested all functions of the printer and overall was very satisfied.
The first photo I printed had some lines on it but that was easily remedied by doing a head alignment procedure and slowing down the print speed. The photo printing feature using Epson photo paper was the best I've ever seen.
Text printing is crisp and clear. The print speed is faster than expected and the output is very high quality.
The scanner feature works well on pictures as well as text but the included OCR software has its limitations. Straight text is not a problem for the software but it has some trouble with tables and tabulated text. The included software did perform better than expected, however.
Faxing and copying are both pretty straight forward and work well.
Printing on a printable CD face couldn't be easier. I replaced an Epson R200 that I primarily used for printing CD labels with this new All-in-One. I absolutely love the way the Artisan 837 handles printing a CD label directly on a printable CD. It is wonderful to have the CD tray built into the machine.
I have used the Artisan 837 enough now to know that I bought a very high quality product capable of doing amazing printing tasks. Paper handling is a breeze and it's so convenient to have the innovative tray that I can use to load both my letter size paper AND my 4x6 photo paper at the same time. There are many choices in printers on the market and I honestly believe I made the right choice by selecting the Epson Artisan 837 All-in-One printer.

Excellent - does not disappoint

I love this printer!! I not only use it for printing and scanning business and personal text docs, but also for printing photographs and other creative projects. The finished print product is amazing. The colors are dazzling and the printer is easy to use.
I love the wireless feature, too. I no longer have to send things to my computer for printing; set up was VERY easy. It actually took longer to unpack the printer than to install the software and set everything up!! Scanner is very easy to use, too
The paper tray could be a little sturdier, but it is very easy to access and 4x6 photo paper can be left in it's own tray, so you don't have to keep changing. The auto-doc feeder is also a great feature; haven't tried double-sided printing yet.
As usual, Epson has made another great product
I would recommend this to a friend!
