Why did I ever leave Epson?

I had a Epson printer years ago and wore it out. I was talked into another brand. What a mistake. It was good for a little while then paper jam after paper jam. Then the programs would have to be reentered time after time. They said we will give you a new one that, jamed also so I took back they said buy the better modle . I did. What a mistake. I took it back I could not get it to scan. fax, copy. paper jams. I said OH you have Epson all in-one printers. I got a Artisan 837 it is so easy to setup, use, understand. Copies are clear, colors in photos beautiful. Thank you for still being the proudct I enjoyed before. It makes me look like a pro. Still a product you can trust!!!

This printer prints nicely, but it jams often, and we have not been able to find ink locally. We have to order it off line.
I like the feature (reason for purchase) of printing on CD's. It works quite well, and I'm satisfied with that feature.
The paper jams are irritating.

Printer Setup, 1st Use, and Epson Support Site
on May 6, 2012

We have just received our Artisan 837 so we are still playing with the options but one of the scary thing after getting your printer is trying to set it up. The setup was wonderful, no problems, just followed the directions on the computer screen. We have a wireless router and using 2 desktops and 1 laptop. We elected to use a wired connection with the 1st computer (just during the setup) and then once the network connection to the wireless was setup we connected the other 2 computers wirelessly. Again it went along smoothly.
My 1st project was to scan in 500 photos and without using the manual I was able to quickly figure out what to do by using the panel on the printer. It again was quick and painless.
Then because I really wanted to know a lot more about the printer I went to the support site at Epson and our printer was easy to find, then I found that there were lots of videos to watch to get you up and going with the printer. I have watched almost all of them. So far so good. Thanks Epson for a wonderful experience.

The easiest printer I ever tried to setup and use. Less than 20 mins from opening the box to be up and running both wireless and fax. The feature I really like is the CD/DVD printer. The ease and speed (about 30 secs) it prints is super. My previous CD/DVD printer would operate when it wanted to, sometimes taking as much as 10 mins for one copy or not print at all. Very good printer.

Great All In One

This is hands down the best all in one printer I've ever purchased (so far, only have had it for a few weeks). It was very easy to set up and with the Epson iPrint App for both my iPhone and iPad it was easy to set up printing from those devices. I have used it to print, copy, scan, send and receive faxes and I've been completely satisfied with all operations. The only negative is it didn't come with a printer to computer USB cable which would be useful if you want to do a direct connection instead of wireless. Luckily I had one from my last all in one, don't think I'll need to use it, but it's good to have just in case. All of my previous all in ones had problems with paper jams, paper being loaded on top, exposed etc. This one doesn't have these problems and the paper is loaded inside like professional printers you would use in an office. No complaints at all (so far) and I would recommend this printer to anyone.

The ink cost is a bit high. The largest size paper that you can print on is legal sized (8.5 x 14) and the tray to print cd's isn't too sturdy while it seems you need to press the button to open it several times to get it to open. it often feeds more than 1 sheet through the feeder while printing. It is a good printer other than a few flaws. It prints well and is fast. I love the scanner and the print to cd software. I would recommend this product. It does everything that it said it would do.

Excellent photo quality printing. Other all-in one printer manufactures only have 3 ink colors - Green, Yellow and Browns colors wash out.
The Epson with the 6 color tanks - life like prints everytime.

EPSON Artisan 837 All-in-One Printer

I have never owned an Epson printer before, but the Epson Artisan 837 color inkjet multifunction (print/copy/scan/fax) is a high-end home unit that aims to give you every feature you could possibly want, plus stunning photo quality.
Setting up the Artisan 837 wirelessly is a breeze, as it offers both WPS and a Wi-Fi wizard. On the front you’ll find a 7.8-inch-wide, tilt able control panel that incorporates a 3.5-inch color touch screen LCD flanked by backlit touch controls
You get a lot of inkjet multifunction for the money with the Epson Artisan 837. It offers full connectivity, good performance and print quality, and a long list of features, including specialized items such as CD/DVD printing. A very nice printer that I am very happy to have purchased. Keep up the great work, as I am now an Epson believer.
