The Best out there!

This thing will do what ever you want it to do! Prints on anything even directly on CD's and DVD's, FAX, Email DOCS & PICS, Scan any way you want. It is by far one of the best printing systems out there!

Great printer

I have owned this same printer for about 3 years and have always liked the quality of photos..my old one did not survive being unused for 6 months...developed printing issues and paper feed problems. I debated trying to use a new series of Epsons but decided to stay with one I knew, plus had just purchased two sets of ink for the old one. This has worked for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've owned three Artisan 837 printers and find them to be reliable, easy on ink, and easy to use wirelessly. I'm also very satisfied with the quality of 8x10 photo prints which are good enough for retail sale straight from the printer.

Linux unfriendly

The 837 itself is a fine printer. It does everything I want it to do. But it was a real pain to install under Linux, involving a lot of net-searching for drivers, hand-installing them, and so on.
Epson would be doing a lot of people a big favour if they'd provide support for Linux---my one-star rating is exclusively because they don't. As a printer, I'd give it four stars--it's possible, I found out the hard way, to put it in a configuration where it won't use the ADF to make copies, and it gives you no indication why. It just says to punt the ADF and use the glass directly. Annoying.

Artisan 837 All-in-one-printer

I have had this printer for at least three years now. I have been happy with it except for one problem that has kept me on the verge of scrapping it. After about six months it stopped feeding paper properly. I was told I would have to use heavier paper. So now I have to use 22 lb paper for it to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HAVE A HOME BUSINESS THAT REQUIRES A MULTI USE PRINTER AND I HAVE USED IT GREATLY, AS A MATTER OF FACT I HAVE THE 730 ALSO,IT HAS BEEN A GREAT OFFICE MACHINE FROM THE DAY I PURCHASED IT,MY DISC GRAPHICS ARE THE TALK AND MY PHOTOS ARE THE TALK OF THE TOWN THANKS TO ALL OF THINGS BOTH PRINTERS CAN DO,YES I DO RECOMMEND THESE PRINTERS TO ALL I KNOW,AND THE COST OF INK IS VERY REASONABLE,THANKS EPSON YOU HAVE BEEN A GREAT HELP TO MY NEW MEDIA AND AD BUSINESS FROM HOME,IF YOUR DEVEPLOPERS COME UP WITH SOMETHING NEW LET ME KNOW,BUT SERIOUSLY FOR THE PRICE IS THERE ANY THING BETTER?

This printer is as good asor possibly better than my 835. It has provided good service in all respects and produces just awesome picture prints. So far--no complaints. The printer has a couple of times stopped with a message unable to recognize "color" cartridge but I open and push on that cartridge and it works fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!
