Ok for general things

This printer is really good for everyday tasks. However, while it does occasionally print good photos, it does not print on matte paper too well, and I definitely need to upgrade to a better photography printer.

Epson Artisan 837 is one of the most versatile products I’ve used in years. Seamless network integration and function across multiple platforms, good quality prints, reliable and stable…highly recommended all-in-one!

Comments for 837 and 810

About Artisan 837 (1) After only 14 month use, we got an error msg saying that the service life came to the end. We had to purchase XP810. (2) This is too short life for its price. (3) We have been using Epson for many decades, since it is only the one which we can print CD/DVD. However, the tray for it of the 837 is not good for use. The one for XP810 is solid and much better. (4) Paper tray would be much better if it holds twice size of paper. (5) You need to set up more service centers to fix the trouble mentioned above. Your tech people told me that it is located in Bronx which is too far away from my place in Queens, NY.
About XP810: (1) User manual for XP810 is too short. (2) Tray for CD/DVD printing is much better than of 837. (3) Paper tray is still too small size.

owned an 830 for years and finally quit on me. So I bought the 837 because it was on sale at a very good price and had more features than my 830 did. Works well and I am very happy with it.Haven't used all the other options it has yet. Double side printing works good.

failure to print

The mechanism that picks up paper to start the print process often fails which is extremely frustrating. When it prints the outcome is beautiful

Epson 837.......EXCELLENT

I LOVED this printer....easy setup....easy to use. I really like that I could control the color on the photos. The only negative would be that the ink pads were finished before I was. It was cheaper just to buy a new one rather than get them replaced. I would buy this over and over again......except they don't make it any more. It's a little heavy as well.

I was very impressed with the features that the Artisan 837 came with and it does produce nice quality pictures. Unfortunately, I have had mechanical problems with the original and the replacement machine, and have lost confidence in the equipment.

First printer I ever bought glad it was an epson. Support is excellent from setup to replacing ink. Especially epson connect love it! Its been eight months and not a problem. Just downloaded drivers for my new desktop on windows 8.1 and was a breeze everythings working great. Only problem now is finding a dust cover for it. Its located next to patio door so it gets dusty fast but other than that could’nt be happier.
