This printer has the quality and dependability I have come to expect from Epson. Easy set up. I use it in an office setting and I know it will always perform up to my expectations. I use it daily and it never fails me. It prints letters as sharp as our laser printer and does a great job on photos and CDs.
In the past I tried other brand printers and was not satisfied with the results that they produced. My first Epson was an Artisan 800 that I used at home. I gave that one to my daughter for her computer and upgraded to the 810. When it came time to buy a new printer for the office, I went straight to Epson. I have found no faults with the Artisan 837.
I have never had any problems with it picking up more than one sheet of paper at a time as other reviewers noted. But, having used printers and copiers for years, I always "fan" the end of the stack of paper to loosen them before putting them in the printer tray.
I love that it has the duplexer. That was a big selling point for me. I use it alot. It sure beats the other brands of printers I have had in the past, where you had to print one side, pull it out , turn it around and reinsert it in the paper tray to print the other side.
A note on printing photos; make sure that "best" is selected for print quality or you will get the lines across the photo as another reviewer mentioned.
All in all.....I'm still an Epson fan.

I'm disappointed

I have been a long time Epson user. But this printer has a habit of feeding more than one sheet of paper at a time, especially when using Economy mode.
The tech support was extremely understanding and immediately dispatched a replacement printer. Alas, the new one did the same thing. Also, unbeknownst when purchased is the fact that it will not do address labels correctly unless you buy a special kind of label. Everything else works fine and the output is very good.

Super sharp print quality. I like the separate cartridges for each color - you don't have to live with odd shades until all the colors run out. I also like being wireless - no more extra cord getting in my way as it runs to my laptop. And double sided printing helps save paper - and addtional hardware is needed. And I thought my old printer was fast--a snail compared to this one! Easy to read and navigate touch screen.
The only thing that I don't like, is that you can't load more paper while a print job is printing - but how often does that happen? And when it does, the machine knows where to pick up. Still a rating of 5 out of 5!

I have used the Artisan 810 and now have the Artisan 837 but this review concerns phone support.
I was having some problems installing on a home wireless network. The fax showed up on the network but the printer on local only.
The support rep, Carl, got me going quickly and best of all, a very short hold time!

Fabulous Photo Printer

This is my third Epson printer they have all been great. I recently got an iPad so I wanted a printer that was compatible with Airprint, plus I also wanted to upgrade to a better photo printer. The quality of the photo prints is fantastic! Nice vibrant clear colors, not mention it is very fast.
It was very easy to hook it up to my home network so that I could print wireless so all of my computers and my iPad. iPad set up was a breeze, my iPad found and hooked to the printer quickly.
One thing I have figured out that when you place photo paper in the paper tray you have to remove all the other paper. On this model the glossy goes face down and it sticks to the regular paper and will pull it through also with the photo paper.

Exc printing, but no double-sdied page printing

The printing is excellent but Epson would do itself a favor by clarifying with a picture that auto duplexing means putting page one on first page, half size, and pages three and four on the second page, all in half-size so that yes, it is auto duplexing, as in how a book works. But I am not able to print page one in actual size on first page and page two on the opposite side unless I hand feed it. If you mess with settings on MAC OS X, you will get upside down printing at best on the opposite side. The instructions on auto duplex for two sided printing by Epson and Acrobat are insufficient to make this clear. No one on Windows or Mac apparently is getting a true and correct front side and back side copy from the Artisan 837 in one page. If I am wrong, then Epson should have clear instructions on how to achieve that and it does not. Disappointed that Epson fails to convey this to the consumer. It needs a little picture of a book open with printing on it to show what it considers "auto duplex printing" as I thought it meant you print on page 1 and it flips to page 2 so I have only one page and then goes onto the second sheet to print page 3 and 4. It does not do that.
