Artisan 837 Color printing :-(

unable to color print prop. 5X7 only half. $1 sz drops of ink on print also along line down pg. :-(

The printer is a very good color printer, with the many ink's that are used with the printer. Good color quality.

I have used a number of different inkjet printers but the Epson Artisan 837 is very much better than all the others I have used. The quality of the printing is superb using the correct OEM ink cartridges, no matter whether I am printing photographs or on WaterShield blank DVDs and CDs. My only regret is that the cost of the ink cartridges is so high. You get what you pay for and I am totally satisfied with the performance of this printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the Artisan 837 printer better than a HP. The main problem with the 837 is that when one of the color cartridge runs out of ink the printer will not even print in black only which is a big problem. For some strange reason the Cyan has run out 4 times to the other colors one time ????? The ink that came with the printer all run out at about the same time ,there after it is always the Cyan.

Have used the 837 for years. Experienced a failure and replaced with a "refurbished" 837. Paper pick up tray fails frequently but other wise a very great printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great all around product. Only disappointment is cost of ink - that is never on sale - anywhere! As a matter of fact, some store coupons specifically exclude Epson ink.

For the most part this is a great printer. My biggest complaint is with the feeder of the paper.
Time and time again, the printer is printing two or more sheets and it always difficult to print on the blank side of sheets that have been printed on before. I do this to save paper. It seems just too sensitive. I am sorry to say I would not recommend this printer unless something can be done with the paper feeder.
