Primary use at home, but have used for business. So many options for printing that are easy to use. I like the 2-sided print feature. Photo's are great. Only problem I had was using the keypad to set-up Wi-Fi. Instructions were confusing as to how to enter letters or numbers for password. Luv it.

superior design with unfortunate flaws

At first glance this printer looks promising. The designers really deserve a pat on the back for effectively compacting all the functions of the artisan in a sleek matte and gloss outfit. The drawbacks are notable when the unit starts printing. The process is rather loud and is sounds like gravel being chewed. the photo quality is hit or miss. sometimes they are perfect and other times the line qualities and over saturation become an issue. to get the most out of this product you have to customize print settings to suite specific paper. Personally printing speed has never been a concern for me. I figure it takes as long as it takes, and waiting a few more seconds is worth superior end product. I can't say i will purchase another Epson in the future but I surely will not over look them. Keep it up guys, you're almost there.

Good all in one printer

Purchased this printer to replace an Epson R320 that was starting to print badly after years of use. I picked the 837 because I still needed to print CD and DVD disks. It does an excellent job of printing disks and photo quality is excellent. My only concern is the planned end of service built into Epson printers that should not be allowed. There are reset programs around to reset the printer but Epson has made it very hard to do this and now out side companies are charging money to get this program. The R320 that died had the same end of service built into it but the reset program was free and worked well for years. That is my only complaint on Epson printers. They do an excellent job of printing everything.

Nice Features, Good Printer

The printer has alot of features that maybe too much for the average "print one page" user. The main complaint I have about this printer is that it does not provide for automatic two-sided copying. This is a hassle when you have to turn over the document to print the other side. This was a major problem for me which is why I only rate it with three stars.

Printer Good, Scanner Immediately Failed

This is my first wireless printer and I loved that capability. It prints pretty good pics and docs and but for the next issue, I would give it 4 or 5 stars. However, not longer after I got it, I started getting a "twain" related error and could not scan wirelessly back to the computer. I did as it suggested and reloaded the original software, as well as looked for solution on-line, including EPSONs and got no resolution. So, now I have to use a thumb drive to move scanned pics to the computer, defeating half the reason for getting the printer in the first place.

Epson Artisan 837 All-in-One Printer

I like my Epson 737. This is my second Epson printer. I like having the individual ink reservoirs instead of one for color and another for black. The general printing is exceptional, but duplexing is stupid SLOW. Printing photos is also very slow sometimes. For basic printing it is great.

Solid Printer

This is my 5th Epson printer in 20 years. I tried the Workforce, but took it back and got this one. The workforce was fine for text and graphics, but I need a printer that can produce high quality photos. I chose Epson because it is a reasonable price and durability for home office printing. It isn't too much of an an ink hog and still produce a crisp text document. The photo quality is close enough to commercial development that I can't tell the difference.
The 5 color cartridges allow me to change only the colors needed and I change them less often with the high capacity cartridges. This printer also allows for mixing colors if the Black runs out. This is a huge bonus when pushed for time and a project needs to be printed.
My computer is in a dusty area and the front load paper tray works well to keep the paper clean between printing.
The only issue I have experienced was occasionally, I will get an error indicating that the paper is out or there is a paper jam when it gets low. I haven't tried the 2 sided printing yet.
