Great Printer

This printer is great for scanning, copying, regular printing, photo printing, and printing on CDs. Sometimes the regular paper gets fed wrong, but overall, you can't beat the performance of this printer as an all in one and superb photo printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Options& Creativity is Endless!

As an educator I have been totally impressed with the features of the Epson Artisan 837 printer! I have used the coloring book feature to have my students make self-portrait cards for their parents that was a huge hit when they arrived home! It has been wonderful to be able to use card stock and print last minute items at home. The quality of the color copies have been outstanding! In addition when I need to enlarge an item for a special needs student I have that ability as well with this printer!! My family has enjoyed finally having a wireless printer that we all can use! We are still discovering all the creative tools that are available on this printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best printer I have ever owned.

This is the best printer I have ever owned. In fact my experience with the entire Artisan series is great. I started out with the Artisan 800, I had to order the duplexer separately. It worked great. I later purchased an 810, and when the Artisan 835 came out I couldn't resist. I purchased the 835. Later they had a sale that was too good to pass up, so I bought another 835 that is still in the box. Then along came the 837 which I am currently using. It was so simple to set up to work wirelessly. It works great. The capability to hold photo paper and letter or legal size paper in the paper tray simultaneously allows you to switch back and forth without having to pull out the paper cassette and entirely changing the type of paper.Superb quality photo prints in a matter of seconds. Another feature I really like is the ability to print directly on a CD or DVD. You can personalize your cd's with a favorite photo or anything else you can think of, it is endless. You won't be disappointed. I gave one printer to one of my nephews, and a cousin liked my 837 so well that she bought one also. I don't know how they are going to top the 837, but I'll be waiting...

The printer is fine. I find printing wireless is pretty slow. The paper trays are weak at best and are pretty finicky. Have difficulty scanning to my computer. Once the address disappears I have to reinstall in order to get it back. And sometimes that doesn't work.
I do have a problem accepting the print quality in comparison to the photo printer I had. Was going to update to a new photo printer but couldn't afford the cost. Sure do miss the quality.
Just for your info. This is the 3rd all-in-one printer. Don't have a phone line, so can't use the fax. Wasted feature.

Solid printer

It handles all the home office tasks I need with ease. Excellent quality prints. Scans from the printer or the PC flawlessly. Networking works with my PC and my wife's Mac.

First let me say that I am a bumbling idiot when it comes to equipment and new gadgets. I buy them and then hesitate taking them out of the box because I am afraid I won't be able to set them up/use them! Buying a new printer was a necessity, however, since my "old" printer was not compatible with my new Mac's operating system. I had done some research online and found that the Epson Artisan 837 All-in-One Printer had gotten good reviews; fortunately for me, a friend was visiting, so he helped me set it up! From the beginning the Artisan 837 has been a pleasure to use and operate!!! It is very simple to follow the touch screen instructions and I think even I could have set it up on my own! If you are looking for a solid, easy to use printer, you won't go wrong with this one!

This printer works fine most of the time. On occasions however it has recorded a print instruction ( from PC) and no printing takes place. There is no apparent reason for this. The only way out is to turn the printer off, wait 24 hours or more, and try again. This is not satisfactory and if the problem continues I will dump this machine and purchase another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best ever printer that works well! Not too big and perfect for my small little space. Print quality is awesome! I've use Epson printer in the past but this one is by far the BEST! Would recommend to all!
