I had no problems setting up this printer and so far have been very satisfied with the ease of use and the quality of the prints.

Fast and Convenient

Great printer. I replaced my Epson Artisan 725 with the Artisan 837. I really liked the 725, but my wife was constantly making multiply pages copies and scans, so I decided to upgrade to the 837. My wife is now a very happy camper, not having to stand by the printer to feed every single document is convenient and saves time. The reason that I purchased both the 725 and 837, is that I like the direct CD printing option. The tray on these printers are incorporated into the printer, whereas older and newer models the trays are separate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most is great, but problem with color ink smear as paper gets wet. Otherwise, the printer is great because of best photo.

Works very well printing, scanning, and faxing. The front cover piece broke off soon after we bought the machine, but it seems to work well without it. The paper is somewhat difficult to load and the ink cartridges are becoming difficult to find.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Product

This is my second printer I have purchased from Epson to print on my DVDs. The first model was the 730. While I was impressed with the 730 printing on my DVDs it didn't stand up to repeated use. After just a few months it broke down on me.
When I started searching for a replacement the 730 was no longer available, however the 837 was and the 837 was an upgrade from the 730. While hesitant to purchase another Epson printer, since the 730 only lasted a short time period, I did make the purchase.

It's been a champion in performance. It's been nearly a year since my purchase and I'm still on the original ink cartridges. Granted I only print on DVDs with the 837, using a simple black ink printer for other printing purposes, but I've printed several hundred on the same ink cartridges that came with the 837.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I absolutely love this printer! I have owned Epson printers exclusively for 20 years now, and I can truthfully say that this is the best one yet. I does everything it is supposed to. Photos are beautifully printed and the colors are spot-on. The auto duplex feature is wonderful. Copy, scan and fax work without a hitch. Ink usage is excellent. I can't complain about anything. Love it!
