Good Printer & Good Price

You get what you pay for, which is often hard to find today. This inexpensive printer does it all. Great resolution for scans, but 35mm slides are one at a time. Good ink printer, with larger cartridges. Biggest problem for me is paper jams in the humid summer weather. Duplex printing is a good feature but also subject to jams. That said, it's relatively easy to fix issues. I like it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall this is a good printer for our in home use. It has many good features, but has some minor shortcomings.
If you do any scanning, you cannot MANUALLY scan multiple pages or two sided without creating multiple files.
Have not used fax capabilities yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

picture worth a thousand words

Nothing like a great picture to tell a story, My Epson 837 make as wonderful picture as if you went and had it made at the store.
I look up what is the best printer and the Epson Artisan 837 was on top of the list, It will fax, copy, scan has a coloring book and prints ruled papers. It can trouble shot it self and tell you what is wrong.
It has disk and a place for thumb drives and more to back up data right on the printer also a problem solver.
It is the best printer all in one I've ever had and I think you would feel the same with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall this is an excellent machine, but there are some things that need improvement. Black ink seems somewhat grey. Two-sided printing doesn't always work -- paper (Epson's Bright White) jams part of the time. Given a stack of five or six sheets to scan, the Automatic Document Feeder almost always will pull two sheets at a time at least once. All in all, a very good printer.

The problem I have is the colour is off when printing a picture on plain paper. I have a lot of text with pictures and the they have a green cast or Blue cast to them. very bleary I clean the 5 o 6 times and the next time I use it have clean it again

The Artisan 837 is a Great Printer. A much needed accessory in any situation. If a visual impact is required it can be created with this printer. If quality and reliability has been designed within this machine, then this is the best investment and addition to everyday work tools anyone could make. The Artisan 837, the best printer I have purchased to date.
I would recommend this to a friend!
