Overall I thoroughly enjoy this printer, especially the scan options. The printing quality for pictures is excellent, though I find it to print pictures darker overall, a problem I have not been able to correct yet.

Versatile and Easy

I have purchased a number of Epson printers for me and my family since 1993! This one I bought for my wife who insists on a 1-button remote to turn on the TV along with everything else in our "Sound System". Needless to say the printer needed to react fast to print, fax or scan! It also needed to be easy access to change inks! It needed to be touch active with "nails". It needed to be straight forward with its fax, print, and scan command buttons and options! In other words "User Friendly to those who are Paper and Pencil People" if you get my meaning. The Epson Artisan 837 is that and more! Thanks for making me look like a genius!

Epson Artisan 837

Had this Printer/Fax for over one year. It is the best printer for color pictures that I have ever owned. The only fault that I have for it is that it sometimes requires 4 or 5 pushes to get it to start printing. May use any photo paper, but pictures print better with Epson paper.

Took it out of the box and entered in my password for my wifi instantly connected to my computer and ipad. looking forward to trying to print a cd label. very impressed with the separate trays for photos or printing documents. I might add that this is my second Epson printer.

This is probably around my 5 or 6th Epson. Each time I buy a new printer I always look at Epson. This 837 has a great amount of features I find very innovate. I upgraded from the Artisan 800 just because I knew it would be worth it.

Pretty Good Printer

This printer is pretty good for it's price range. It has the printing, copy, scan and fax functions as well as being able to make lined or squared paper sheets. Having a five color cartridge and black ink capability produces great color, especially with glossy photo paper. (Warning...expensive inks and they are never on sale.) It can also scan pictures and make coloring pages from them! The reason I did not rate it five stars is the paper carrier is limited and the jams that can happen if the paper is not stacked just right or the glossy papers stick together. This did not happen in my former Epson printer where I could stack the paper in vertically on top with a gravity feed. Once you learn to deal with this minor problem the printer works great.
