this is my 3rd Epson printer, starting with a 500 model which I feel you have not equaled yet. Traded in an Artisan 800 for this one and hope it works as well as the 500. The 800 recently started having problems in a shorter period than the 500. Of course I do transport them to family reun ions to copy heritage photos for sharing. I even reccomend Epsons to customers in stores when I overhear them making choices about buying a printer.x

I love this printer. It was very easy to install. The pictures are great and color is fantastic. I also like the CD/DVD printer. It does a great job in all.

This is the best photo printer I have seen so far. Excellent quality and you can print straight from your iDevice. Double sided, CD prints, wi-fi...it's got it all.

Happy customer trying all the new features

Brand X broke down after only 15mo, so I searched for something different and better. I found the Epson Artisan 837. Most reviews are glowing but couple described some limitations like noisy and saturated colors. I spent many evenings in Staples testing copies of various printers. Finally bought the 837 and am happy with it. I never thought I would use features like RuledPapers and ColoringBook, but second day with the grand daughter around these features came in real handy.
Overall, performance is great. Colors are saturated but are as good as the local photo shop.
Double side print is an minor issue, but I use 20 weight paper; better perhaps to use 24 perhaps.
Setup was straight forward for Windows 7 and wireless connectivity. It did take about 20 minutes. The only glitch was Windows 7 complaint about installer compatibility. It prompted me to "Try again with recommended compatibility settings". I pressed OK and off it went to completion.

epson artisan 837

replacing my artisan 800. so easy to setup, did't even need an ethernet cable to setup wireless printing. epson printers always printed photos which can't compare to others. The machine runs so smooth and never regret buying it and saved a lot from sales.

The Artisan 837 is a nearly excellent printer. With the exception of the fax feature I have run all other functions. The photos and printed CD's are of outstanding quality.
Document (from the computer) printing gives very good results on both sides incuding multiple copies. However the copy function is another story.
When attempting to make copies of more than one document, with two sided printing, the printer fails to print beyound the first document including single sides. However when single sided printing is designated the printer does copy and print all documents.
I am awaiting an expected solution from Epson Technical.
The paper handling trays are a lttle flimsy and they should be targeted for improvement; but they work. Even before the front and back printing issue is resolved I would recommend the Artisan 837 to anyone.
